sometimes day, sometimes daa

here's what google and quora have to say

'Data' is pronounced: day-taa, not daa-taa. It is the plural of 'datum' (day-tum). Most dictionaries you refer would tell you this. Just google “data meaning”.

I said dah-ta until I had a teacher once who said day-ta and then I started saying it too. Now I say both.

I have two words I rotate pronunciations with. This and Ay-dolf vs Ah-dolf

then it is Day-ta
I'm British and I say Day-ta in fact most people do. I think

just the Ozzies and Kiwis who say Dah-tuh also Pah-star but they are cool people who also despite speaking English like other people around the world, happen to have their own pronunciation for words, but what ever
