-Metal Gear Solid 3 demo
-Twin Snakes

How do the two compare?

The demo/intro of the game is by far the weakest point of the game. Since you liked both MGS1 and 2, I'm sure you will love MGS3. I'm in the same boat as you, except I didn't dislike the demo. And I consider MGS3 my GOTY

I liked the demo, but I wasn't as wowed by it as I had expected to be.

The final game however, is easily my game of the year.

I felt kind of the same way towards Twin Snakes as I did the demo. I consider it a good purchase and I'm glad I have it, but it doesn't stand up next to the original and MGS2. MGS3 on the other hand, I believe to be the best in the series.

I won't spoil anything but the point where the demo ends is where things start to get interesting. And you don't start the game off with all those weapons either.

I'm not sure why would you like MGS1 and 2 and not like the demo, but I have yet to see a person who liked MGS1 and 2 who didn't loved MGS3 full game.

Demos have seldom proven to be useful (except for Viewtiful Joe and RE4).
