How does GS subscription work?

I'm quite keen on getting the Iwata GDC video of gamespot and was contemplating signing up - this close to E3, gamespot becomes more than useful for downloads + breaking E3 news doesn't it.

What's the subscription service like? Month to month.. etc?

you can do it month to month or yearly.. but be warned.. I got it for E3 two years ago, and it took nearly 2 months for them to cancel it.. at one point in my process of getting it cancled, they started double billing me, and then turned off my account completely even though I had payed through E3 last year.... so, yeah good luck with getting it turned off.

Zelda: Majora's Mask - 8.3
WarioWare Touched - 7.2
Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat - 7.0
State of Emergency - 8.5
Suikoden 3 - 9.1

You sure you want to give GameSpot any money?

Just wondering...who had better coverage/media of E3 last year?

gamespot was *much* more stable than IGN's servers.. but some stuff they got up later.. the Halo 2 demo from 2 years ago was out much later than anyone elses.. but the quality was better.

Also, gamespot live had some really awesome interviews/live event coverage that was phenomenal... but a ton of it was dorky and useless.. the really cool thing is they set up an E3 forum, and if you want more coverage of a game just start a post and one of their guys will usually get on and say "Yeah, I'll swing by there tommorow" and the next day they will have an article up about that game.. really cool stuff. Plus, they will answer questions/clear up impressions they posted earlier on the forums.. have no idea if IGN does anything comprable...

but if you ask for coverage of a game no one else cares about, you just get ignored.

I've had a Gamespot Complete membership for a couple years now since they began offerring it. I find it quite useful year-round and am very satisfied.
