I guess I just know what to expect regarding the crowds. That and I live in Southern California. LA is NOT fun.MassiveAttack said:I guess after attending 11 E3s in a row, it's becoming a bit predictable. Either that or seeing downtown LA once a year is too much.![]()
Bullshit! I've attended every single E3 so far and with the exception of a couple years where I had to work at a booth (and that wasn't even that bad), I've really enjoyed attending every show. This year won't be any different
Nope. I just don't let certain things bother me unlike you, it seems.Roland Stiles said:You clearly go to a different E3 than I do.
SS4Gogita said:It's funny because I figured E3 was always that crowded.
Last year was my first E3, and I just happened to win myself an HDTV/5.1 Speaker System/iPod Shuffle. Needless to say it was the best damn time of my life.
Definitely looking forward to going again this year.

SS4Gogita said:The HDTV/Speaker System was won at the Konami booth. They had a lottery wheel thing that you could put your business card into. At the specified time if you were there and they drew your card, you won. If you're not there they just move on.
The Shuffle was won at the Atlus booth. Same deal, except replace the lottery wheel with a small box.
:lol Made me laugh for some reason.TekunoRobby said:One does not simply walk into E3.
Your opinion does not equal fact. Others obviously disagree so please stop posting as if we are wrong just because we think E3's a great trade show.Roland Stiles said:Also, I don't "let things bother me." The whole event is a waste of time. You can watch all those kewl vids on the internet at home a week later. E3 isn't nearly the big deal that non-industry-peeps think it is.
Zapages said:Cool man, nice to meet another hosted Gamespy Site Memberl.Original I was with 3dactionplanet, but now I am under the planet's site. As you might have guessed, I do Prince of Persia Series.
What is your site deal with and which site are you with? If its Mario Kart, then I might have met you at E3 2005. I was there as well.![]()
Zapages said:Oh man, I rememmber meeting some of your partners from the Mushrrom Kingdom, I think you might know Jeff.
Last year was with its fun power outages and the whole Gamespy's Hosted sites getting media badges.. *Good Times* .... :lol
Maybe I'll see you this year.
No you have to have affiliation of some kind. It is just not that hard to get affiliation.<nu>faust said:so they let anyone who pays 500$ in, even if they don't have any kind of entertainment industry affiliation ?!?

argon said:It's been like that since E3 2000 at least.. (when the passes were only $275.)
You spend a ton of cash to basically get treated like dirt by developers, publishers, and the press.. Damn those french journalists hogging the Gamecube duffle bags =( Meeting Miyamoto was worth it tho =)

I'm still mad I missed GAF Meetup 2005... 2004 went fairly well.
nobody in the industry has fun at E3. What a cruel lie you've been fed.
Zapages said:What was I thinking*I got the names messed up*... I meant to say Drew. You probably know him.
DavidDayton said:I'd need a picture or more info. Where would I know him from?
Zapages said:I didn't take picture with him. I met him and rest of the Mushroom Kingdom Team at the first day of E3, when we trying to get our passes. We all worked together. Also I think he lives in Virginia or North Carolina or where along there. Plus you have someone as sighting editor and others just editors. Oh plus he just graduated from college last year.
That's all I can remember...
