Whats your height/weight?
6'5" 310....lost about 20lbs since Jan....40 since last Jan and 54 in two years. Well, i haven't really done much running since i played high school bball. I was going to buy a bike this spring and start riding and running/jogging. Kinda hard in CNY withh all the damn snow. My biggest problem is eating right...becuase i don't, not becuase i eat wrong, i just don't like the right stuff...hell as of two weeks ago i haven't liked or eaten mashed potatos!!! Believe that. I HAVE to force myself to eat right...it's a hard habbit to break...

I'm 6'2 and about 155lbs. I'm pretty healthy, but my family has a history of high blood pressure and bad cholesterol, so I'm starting to look out and attempt a better diet. I'm trying to work out as much as I can muster, but my other commitments don't give me time for that. I'd like to pack on some more weight.

A hair away from 6'1", 220 or so, cholesterol 170 and everything else within the normal range according to the blood work I had done a month ago. :)

I was nervous, too, because my eating habits aren't the greatest and I hadn't had blood work done in about 5 years. Guess I'm just lucky. :p

I guess everyone's just chipping in?

I'm 5'11" and about 190 pounds. I used to be 255 pounds but I just ate right and exercised. Apparently I'm average now, so I'm eating like I used to again. I've never been healthier; I haven't gotten sick in over a year.

Oh, and I won't lie, I have 20% body fat with an average water weight of 58%. I'd like to thank my weight scale for being all high-tech for telling me.

5'4, 112 lbs.

i reformed my diet a few months back, but lately i've been slacking off on it and letting a lot of junk food sneak in. i'm trying to stop that.

for exercise, i don't usually to a ton of it... DDR or some other cardio about twice a week. i do crunches before bed a few times a week. in the summer i walk and bike a lot, since i don't own a car.

i feel a lot healthier now than i did a year ago.

Start slow. If you decide you're going to run a mile tomorrow and eat nothing but a salad, you'll fail and be back where you started.

Since you live in a climate where you can't exercise outside year round, I recommend a gym membership or an exercise bike. Preferrably one with handles that let you move your arms too but that's not absolutely essential. You can get a cheap bike for like $100-$150. Check some classified ads to see if you can get a deal on a used one if you can't afford that.

Fiber helps with cholesterol so try eating more of it. Dried fruit is small, doesn't go bad, and is loaded with fiber. Try having raisins, prunes, dried apricots, or some other dried fruit with on the side with one (or better yet every) meal a day. Oatmeal makes a good breakfast too and it's high in fiber.

I'm 5'11'' 165 and I'd say I'm in pretty good shape. I workout 3-4 times a week and eat semi-healthy. I suck at running but I do it anways.

Thanks alot, that seems like great advice...i do like Oatmeal so i guess i'll be having alot of that for breakfast. Can't wait til the summer, i will be getting back on the basketball court. I'm looking to drop my Cholesterol and get below 300 this summer. My target weight is somewhere around 250-270.

5'7" 130 lbs.

Just recently went to the doctor's and they told me I had a resting heart rate of 60 beats/min (avg) and a blood pressure of 112/62 (low, real low). I attribute that to playing volleyball at least 4 times a week for at least two hours per session (sometimes as much as 4 hours). Outside of that I haven't been doing much of any other kind of exercise. When I play I'm very active: I exclusively jump serve, I spike and block everything I can, I'm a setter on 6-2 formations (LOTS of running around) and I go up for fake spikes all the time. I basically hop around like a frog for a couple hours every other day.

I don't have a particular diet that I stick to (it's limited primarily by the budget) but I can tell you it's heavy on carbohydrates. Probably won't be good for me in the long haul as my dad is a type II diabetic and he looked just like me at my age. I generally try to keep it balanced but basically I don't think about food unless I'm really hungry.

I do need to work on my cardio, do more running.. but you'll forgive me if I'm not a fan of running in the snow at 25 degrees F.

Screw inches and pounds. ..

183 cm
72 kilos

I don't have a special diet of any kind, I just stay low on fat. As for keeping me healthy, I eat my vitamins, ride my bike for 40-50 minutes a day (use it to get to work), and pump iron 3 times a week. Beach 2005 gonna be a breeze :D

6'2 225 - mostly muscle. Work out everyday. My diet consists of a lot of meat, some fruit and very little veggies. Though, I do take a lot of vitamin supplements. I also smoke cigarettes (I'd say around 6 a day -- on the weekends, perhaps a pack a night).

I'd say I'm moderately healthy. Probably should drink and smoke less.

5'1" and 103 lbs. I say screw dieting. Enjoy life while you can. I hate grains (ie. rice, wheat,..etc.). I don't enjoy noodles or pastas, so my diet pretty much consists of meats, vegetables and fruit. If you're concerned with exercise, just do push ups or stretches or something during cut scenes or loading times while you're playing games. :D

I've always found that the easiest way to exercise is to find something you enjoy. I hate going to the gym, but I still run 3-4 times a week ... it's relaxing. Anyway,

6'0" 190-200 lbs ... haven't checked in awhile, but that's where it usually is.

I'm presently eating a Whataburger breakfast burrito with greasy hashbrown stick things. That's about how healthy I am.

All in all, 5'10" and about 145 pounds, so I guess I could be doing worse. I work at a job that involves sitting on my ass most of the day, so I've been trying to exercise more lately.

I've always been pretty thin, although my metabolism ain't what it was in high school, so alas, I actually need to move around a little now...

The last time I donated blood (like three months ago) my cholesterol was all in the green. Chalk it up to youth, I guess.

I'm 5'10" and 178. According to BMI, I am overweight -- but that is bs. I eat health. Favorite food is oats + milk in a glass. Drink that anytime. And I try to work out in the gym often. I take my vitamins supplements, whey protein, and creatine to help gain muscles. :D

5'6", ~160lbs.

That BMI scale is absolute BS. It doesn't take into account your level of athletics or any other outside factors. At my size i'm considered overweight, yet as of a week ago i can bench press over 200+ lbs, have a vertical jump over 40", and can run the 40 somewhere around 4.7-4.8 (not bad for someone who graduated HS back in 96 lol). I'm decently tone everywhere and have a pretty flat stomach (4 pack still), yet i'm overweight, riiiiight.

It's funny to me some of you who are talking about trimming up and whatnot, cause as tall as alot of you are skinny as hell imo lol. I'm also coming from an athletic background though so i've got a different view on what people should weigh and levels of muscle mass.

6"2 and 179 lbs. I'm dried up as hell, with veins visible all over my arms and stuff, and I dont really do anything for it, eating McDonald's sometimes over 10 times a week.

I'm trying hard to cross the magic 200 pounds barrier, or ultimately 220, but I've no idea when I will reach that goals. I've done 30 pounds the last 10 months.

6'1" ~ 175lb

Not sure what exactly it is, but I know my blood pressure is low, and that my stroke is 1.5 times that of the average healthy male my age.

Not bad given I was clinically obese for around 10 of the past 12 years.
