How is the Ghost Recon Series? (thinking about GR3 for 360)

How does this series play? I want to think about getting the new one for Xbox 360, but am afraid it might control to complicated.

A comparison point for me would be the Splinter Cell vs. Metal Gear Solid series. I love the controls on MGS, but I loathe them on Splinter Cell (too complicated) and thus have never been able to get into that series.

I am also afraid that since it is a Tom Clancy series, and is also by Ubisoft, that it will feature similar, complicated controls.

I'm a little confused that you think SC is hard to control compared to Metal Gear but...

It's very user friendly. More so than ever with the latest iteration, so I'm sure the 360 version will be very easy for you to handle. IMO, it's a great military shooter that will only benefit from more next-gen power. It's tactical and unforgiving in the sense that it is easy to die from gunfights, but you are powerful enough to play comfortably on your own if you play smart.

The newest Xbox version is only $30 if you have the opportunity to try it.

if SC controls was too complicated for you, the GR controls will confuse you even more. you should skip it unless it comes out for the GCN with the big green button on the controller.

The Ghost Recon series is excellent. It's very slow and tactical and tries to be very realistic... so you either love that or hate it. If you like that kind of thing, it is incredible.

Also, about the Splinter Cell thing... a big wtf goes out... I couldn't believe you think SC's controls are 'complicated'.

Also, I am the exact opposite, I loathe MGS control (or should I say lack of). SC really made the flaws in the MGS series (the perspective and the control) stand out in a big way.

The GR series is my favorite tom clancy series folowed closely by SC bu only Chaos Theory, Pandora and The first were so-so, then Rainbow 6 is my least favorite, but i still love them all. GR is the best on Xblive though, dont get it if u arent playing online.

It's a very good series, but it's hard to talk about it as a series since GR2 was so very different. One thing the series needs though is a change in those canned death animations. I'm so tired of those death animations.

I don't know what it was... I just didn't get hooked to the gameplay of Splinter Cell...

Well, thanks for the input anyway.

:lol I like this guy. He should immediately be promoted to Senior member.

i really enjoyed ghost recon 2 ....i just wish it wasnt such a camper's paradise. It can get down right boring if you die and have to wait for 2 ppl who are camping to shoot each other. Its like watching 2 soccer teams play for the tie.

The controls in GR2 for Xbox arent too complicated. GR1(at least for PC) had a fairly complex control scheme, but it was still a great game :)

I really dig the move UBI made on their GR series...its more console friendly of course but the overall change was a welcome to me. GR3 will be the GAME to get on x360 launch.

Dont listen to the morons that call x360 xbox 1.5...they are just zealous, i mean jealous lol :) They'll eventually buy x360 anyways :lol
