How is your GAF social network?

During the years I have found several people here on GAF that I have a day to day contact with and would consider friends, even making business with one of them.

I also have a lot of acquaintances that I can just shoot a message and start a chart with.

How large is your network here? Found your wife? Best friend? Casual sex relationship?
 
Outside some friendly chats here and there, non-existent.

I dont have anyone on my FB or anything like that.

I don't do GAF meet ups either.

I do enjoy helping others, tho. I just find connecting online very hard.
 
A bunch of gaffers follow me on Twitter, and I've played with some people from the Overwatch OT before. Outside of that, it's pretty much non-existent.

Actually, one guy did give me a bunch of advice on dealing with my recent break-up over PM. That was something I really appreciated, but we don't talk outside of that.

Some turned into Instagram and Twitter acquaintances, but I would like to connect more. In my physical life, not many really talk about all the games I play. I work for a huge tech company and am shocked at the lack of gamers. I'm in the wrong department!

But I try not to post often so that reduces the chances of getting to know others.
 
I'm cool with a lot of people on Gaf but I wouldn't call them friends.

I made some legit friends on a old forum I used to visit though.
 
Been on GAF for nearly 10 years now and part of the reason I keep coming back is because it's separate from my personal life. I find it cozy that way.

I do like a lot of posters and miss some that don't post anymore though.
 
I'd say pretty good, it's not large as I don't visit here as often as I used to but I've made a lot of good acquaintances that I regularly keep up with and check on. As far as meeting in real life I've met none as I don't know any GAFfers that live in Detroit.
 
I have made a grand total of 0 friends on GAF.

I'm not super good at making friends.

Edit: I haven't even played any games with anyone here.
 
Donno any gaffers and no gaffers know me.

I'm like the person in the group that hangs around but when they talk their voice is too boring to make meaningful connections. :P
 
I follow the great Guzim on instagram, and I have a bunch of GAF people on my twitter. But I don't know that I "know" any of them. The only person I thought I actually knew was Serafitia, which... yeah.

Oh, and Mikey 2x4 but I knew him outside of GAF first. Come to think of it, I knew Guzim on AOL forums pre-GAF too.

I've done freelance artwork for a few people I've met on GAF, but that's about it I'm afraid. I did go to a meetup in Austin which was pretty fun, but haven't had time in the schedule to go to another.
 
I haven't really gotten personally involved with anyone through GAF. I'm not huge on talking to people I haven't met in real life. Hell, I'm bad enough at talking to people I already know.

He used to be a prolific thread starter back in the day.
 
I met some cool people here for pax East a few years ago but I haven't really talked to any more people from here. I met one guy IRL who posts here and I haven't seen him since. I have him on steam though.
