How many ignore lists do you think you're on?

I think it's because your original post says "because" instead of "before". I guess it can be confusing for some people.
 
I'd proud of myself if I somehow managed to get on someones ignore list while only posting around once per day.
I use the ignore list a lot though, but no one that has posted in this thread is on it yet :p
 
I don't usually post anything interesting so probably on 0 lists. Strong contender would be Sculli's list since I shit on Ender's Game and Avatar.
 
No idea but I have 18 members there. It's annoying when someone ignored posts, that post still appears and advise about that. Would have been better any notice.

I have 7 on mine and half are banned. I must have good taste.

We need a script to completely hide the posts.

Word! Or something that doesn't make me look like a middle-aged, middle class white man trying to be down with the kids and failing miserably.

It makes no difference to me whether someone agrees or disagrees with my perspective on anything. If what I think works for me and what someone else thinks works for them then there is absolutely no need for congruence, for me. However, if I find someone persistently disagreeable to me in the way that they post [as distinct from what they post] then there's a good chance they will make their way onto my ignore list. If I find their posts toxic then why should I inflict those on myself if I have the facility available to me to remove their posts?

Because most people don't read the whole thread and then reply, they reply directly to one of those three categories. So we have to be most concerned about that stuff.

You have my sympathies having to deal with such matters. Why can't people just remove the last '/' when quoting the GIF. Too much trouble? smh

Would it be possible for the Forum coding to be altered to automatically do this so that posters can't quote a GIF a million times a page?

I'm not completely against it, but I personally never use it.

I try not to hold "internet grudges", with people who think differently than I, hell I don't even have to try. I just don't care enough, or can get upset enough to want to ignore someone on here lol. And plus, sometimes these ignore list worthy users are the funniest trolls on GAF.
 
This thread would get much more interesting if you all who have people ignored tell us who you're ignoring.

And why of course.
 
Hopefully none. I try to conduct myself in a polite manner on Neogaf and i'd hope I've never given anyone reason to.

I've never put anyone on my list either.

Some people are just THAT annoying. The only person I every blocked was lawblob because was being impossibly annoying in a Sony E3 thread last year (or the year before). I just couldn't deal with it. I'd assume I'm not on THAT many ignore list. I really don't post that often and can't imagine when I would've found the time to get under someones skin like that.
 
Taking into account the low quote rate I have, quite a few. It's really apparent on post-your-pics where most of my pics go unnoticed even if they are top of the page. I wonder how and why I could have pissed on so many people's cheerios.
 
I've only put one person on my ignore list, they are permabanned now due to me not seeing any of their posts, so maybe I'm magic. I don't know if I'm on any, but I don't think I'm nearly as polarising as one needs to be in order to be ignored, maybe I just need to tell people I'm religious.

Also is there any way to ignore threads? Not saying I want to ignore this one, it's just we're on the topic of ignoring, so I might as well ask.

I post stupid stuff frequently but not too much to be annoying for most people I think. And I ignore no one because I want the warts-and-all neogaf experience.
 
I try not to post too obnoxiously but I guess I could be on a few. I haven't put anybody on mine, though there's a few posters that have tempted me.
 
I try not to step on anyone's toes, and people can't actually put me on their ignore lists now, but I suppose there might be maybe twenty or so who still have me on ignore from before then. I suppose it's inevitable when posting an opinion on a forum as large as this, and I've admittedly posted more than my fair share of dumb shit on here over the years. I've never had anyone on ignore myself.
 
I'm probably on a relatively large number of ignore lists. I often say things that aren't ban worthy but still make some people think I'm stubborn/rude/stupid/whatever. I don't really care since I think that's part of what makes me who I am.

I remember that one time some dude posted his entire, massive ignore list and I was on it. That made me feel pretty special.

I generally ignore people who fall into either of these two categories:

1. I'm spooked by your avatar or it has some kind of EPIC MEEEM or le reddit reference in it.

2. Regardless of your opinion, you're too aggressive to be reasoned with and your posts make me feel uncomfortable.

I don't think i'm in anyone's list... although I do remember that one guy in the official WoW thread a few years ago who said he was going to put me in his ignore list because I called him an elitist jerk or whatever it was. Poor guy couldn't handle the truth.
