Kimi is the truth. Clearly, Michael has more left in the tank, particularly in Sector 3, but this is McLaren leapfrogging, let's see...BAR, Renault and Williams all at once. I had written them off earlier, and figured the three car fiasco would have sunk them for sure. I expected them to be hobbled and off the map for a few years. This is a hell of a turn around. It took three cars and cost a fortune, but they are the only team to have outrun Ferrari straight up this year. Monaco could have been a Ferrari race were the track fast enough for overtaking, but Spa there was no excuse other than Kimi being flat out faster. He's impressive right now. I guess since the car was such a dog all year, and the fact that DC is getting destroyed makes him look good, but I think his car setup skills are becoming phenomenal. His duel with JPM next year will be the one to watch for sure.

I'm waking up for qualies tomorrow. I've watched every race and every session this season, barring maybe one or two practices. I really hope they change it, b/c it's dreadful, but I'm such a F1 fanatic, I can't stop watching. I understand how some have tuned out in recent years. PEACE.

I missed practice and qualifying, which ticks me off. Gonna try and catch the qualifying repeat tonight at least. Based on the practice times, I'll assume McLaren is going for less pit stops then the other top runners, which I think has been their history. Unless Kimi just had a bad run or was on a harder compound.

Alonso will probably have everyone beat into the first corner, which would be a good idea cause I would not want to be in that pack going into that chicane. Which is why I worry about Kimi's position. But hell he avoided the carnage two weeks ago after starting tenth, so maybe that luck will carry over.

In other news, Olivier Panis announced his retirement at year's end a few days ago, though he'll test drive for Toyota for a couple more years.

On the formation lap at the moment...damp conditions for a race that's historically been bone dry. Should be interesting.

It's funny, but I'm not sure I ever feel happier for a guy who wins a race then Rubuens. Even Kimi winning doesn't make me smile as much. Rubes is just such a first class guy, a total team guy, and a consumate professional in every sense of the word. And I get the feeling Michael really likes and appreciates him as well. That's why I have a hard time hating on Ferrari...they don't have any bitches in that paddock.

Shame Kimi went out early...was hoping to finally see him battle with Montoya, Button, Webber and Sato. Always cool seeing the young guns battling it out. Great result for Ferrari though, particularly considering how the race started.

Awesome race. Awesome win by Rubens. Looked like his race was shot, and he just drove the hell out of the car to get the win. Perfect weekend for him. Pole, Fastest Lap and the Win. Can't ask for anything more. Hope he does the same in Brazil. :) Great drive by Michael too. So much for him losing his edge. :lol Yes, the car was something else today, but he did the deed with the overtaking today. He took Fisi, Webber, Button, Sato, Alonso, Rubens, DC, and some others along the way. I thought he was doomed to a 5th or lower spot, but getting 2nd after that mess is impressive. Looked like he caught Rubens easy, but I doubt he would have had a chance if Rubens hadn't backed off. Great result for the team.

Sucks for Benson, who looked like he was gonna get a win for a while there. Best of the rest again, go figure. But that ain't bad. A podium beats not getting a podium. Alonso looked great until he threw it off the track. It was his goof, but I still wish the track marshalls had pushed him back on. They coud have too. :( Flav won't be mugging for the camera this week. :lol Anyway, I loved this race. I thought it had a bit of everything and I'm really glad Rubens got the win. Glad the cameras could focus on the Ferraris doing something other than running alone. Lots of passing all around, and those early laps were really eventful. Looking forward to China in a couple of weeks. Should be good. The track looks great. PEACE.

Yeah, amazing how Michael finishes second in one race in a season where he's won about 90 races, and suddenly he's losing his edge. :lol People were saying the same shit last year, and he threw it back in their faces. You'd think they'd learn.

And I don't know why Alonso got jobbed, aside from some Italian conspiracy to ensure the Ferrari's finished ahead of him. :lol
