For all shows except Coachella, we'll be doing direct presales for a limited number of tickets. Presales will begin Wednesday, February 27th. We expect these to go very quickly. The rest of the tickets will be available through regular ticket outlets shortly after. All the specific details and ticketing links will be added to this page as we get them.

The presale tickets available from us are non-transferable. They will have your name printed on them, and you'll need to show photo ID at the venue. This is to prevent scalping and ensure that tickets go directly to fans at a reasonable price.

We're working with a new partner, Modlife, for HTDA ticketing, merch, and album sales. We think this will lead to a better purchasing experience all around. If you have any technical problems with the presale process, please contact support at htda@modlife.com. For tour updates, follow HTDA on Twitter, Tumblr[/url], or Facebook.

Nine inch nails_

NOTE FROM TRENT:

Nine Inch Nails are touring this year.

I was working with Adrian Belew on some musical ideas, which led to some discussion on performing, which led to some beard-scratching, which (many steps later) led to the decision to re-think the idea of what Nine Inch Nails could be, and the idea of playing a show. Calls were made to some friends, lots of new ideas were discussed, and a show was booked - which led to another, which somehow led to a lot of shows.

The band is reinventing itself from scratch and will be comprised of Eric Avery, Adrian Belew, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Ilan Rubin, and me. The first shows will begin this summer, followed by a full-on arena tour of the US this fall, and lots of other dates worldwide to follow through 2014.

Lots of details and dates to come. See you soon.

Great news. I'm guessing he signed a deal if he's busy with child and other stuff. Probably doesn't have the time to micro manage everything this time around.

Looking forward to it.

Found the first EP a bit of a let down, even if you try and come at it as something entirely different from NIN or Atticus' works. If you *do* factor in the talent behind HTDA it's even more of a let down.

Still, I've got my fingers crossed this turns out to be something great with a bit more gestation which with 2+ years since the original EP release they've certainly had.

Interesting that his art man, Rob Sheridan is now considered a part of the band as well.

Oh and one last little bit - I just can not get excited to see them live. Even if the EP is great, and the album amazing. NIN put on some of the best live shows period. Seeing him back out on stage, even under a different banner will be more of a cruel tease than anything else. While I'm sure it'd be a great performance... I just have no interest in it.

But yeah, fingers crossed the music turns out good!

Trent and NIN sort of have a curve thing going with me.

They start awesome (PHM, Broken, Downward Spiral), start to dip into mediocrity (The Fragile, With Teeth), and have since been on an upward trend (Year Zero, Ghosts I-IV).

Don't know where The Slip belongs in all this. I didn't care for it.

Their first EP was ok but never really went back to it after listening a few times. I'm optimistic though. Great to see Trent will be back out there touring. I have full confidence I will get to see Nine Inch Nails live again someday.

Has any established musician ever produced better work when he got a trophy wife and decided that she should be involved in the creating of music?

She was in a band before she met Trent called "West Indian Girl". I'll buy it. I love Trent's work and I enjoy Mariqueen's voice.

Strange they decided to go with a EP and then a full length album next year. But new music with Trent/Atticus is always welcomed no matter what format.

The Fragile shits all over everything Trent has done since then. It has tons of variety and really shows off what Trent is capable of. To call it mediocre is just absurd, especially if you like NIN.

I just wish Trent would do something with heavy guitars and get away from all this ambient stuff. I really wish he would work with Charlie Clouser again.

Also the drums sound like shit on Year Zero and The Slip IMO.

you haven't lived until a random little kid ask you "how do you make love".
I was too young to go to any of their shows back in the day.
I will sell my soul and cut off my leg to see a current show.

It's pretty crazy that it's been 2 years since the first EP. I am pretty excited to see how it's going to sound. I really liked A Drowning and the cover of Is Your Love Strong Enough. I don't really remember many of the other songs doing it for me but it's been a while so I'll have to listen to them again.

I wasn't crazy about the first HtDA EP apart from a couple of tracks but I'll be sure to check this one out. I hope it turns out good.

I wasn't a fan of their past songs and NIN is dead to me. I want Broken and The Downward Spiral Reznor to come back.

i would like this too, but let face it- trent is closing in on 50 at this point, he's married, and he has a kid. it would be kind of weird for him to go back that style of extremely aggressive, angry music because he's in a different place now. it was inevitable that he would have to evolve as an artist, although i would agree that with teeth and the slip show a definite decline in overall quality.

The Fragile Reznor > Broken and TDS Reznor. Broken is great, but TDS had SO MUCH FILLER on it.

which songs do you consider filler?

which songs do you consider filler?

the title track, mr self destruct, big man with a gun, piggy, eraser. Not good tracks at all.

I hear people say that the second disc on The Fragile is all filler, which is bullshit. It's great music from start to finish. It's a much more musically mature album than TDS.
