I just got the game, but for the life of me I just can't get any kind of super off. I can do normal special moves like it's nothing, but just supers won't work. Is there any kind of difference between it and normal arcade version that I'm not aware of?
This reminds me of a funny story. Shortly after the Game Boy Advance SP was released in Japan--and before it came out in the US--one of my friends was showing me a GBASP that he imported. He happened to have his copy of Street Fighter Alpha 3 in the slot (one of my favorite GBA games). After I played it for a couple minutes, he asked me what I thought.
I told him that the illuminated screen looked great, but I thought there might be a problem with the controls, because I couldn't properly execute a single super move to save my life.
He was puzzled for a bit, because he knows I'm a pretty good Street Fighter player, and would know how to do the supers. Then, we finally figured it out. The game was set to "easy supers" like you mentioned. I had totally forgotten that the feature even existed, because I never use it myself. I changed it back to the arcade-style motions, and then I was much happier.
