I think I'm pretty decent now. I constantly trump the people I play with (like just constant victories in a row, so it's definitely not luck) and want to find a new poker game (texas hold'em) with complete strangers.

I don't really want to do the casino, but want to try a local game.

What's the best way of finding a local game?

I live in Downtown Vancouver, BC. Not really known for it's gambling scene.

If you see someone around a university campus with one of those steel briefcases, stop them and ask where the game is and what the stakes are.

Some people advertise poker games on the local UseNet board around here.

Might want to check that out, especially if you are at a school with its own UseNet group.
