How to fix the Live Communicator clip?

Wow, do they make that out of the cheapest plastic possible (the clip that connects the earpiece to your head)? It just snapped off with like no pressure at all.

I've tried superglue, but that just made the thing sticky, but the two plastic pieces don't like fusing for whatever reason. I could also do tape possibly? Any other ideas?

ask yourself if you really need to hear what they're saying.

if the game isnt team based, the answer is no

I tried every glue possible and nothing stuck. One did but it came off after 2 days. My search enter its 4th month now.

I used this

Works very well

Crazy Glue. The one with the guy who's hand are stuck to his hat. I broke it the week i got it, and this has held ever since.

The same shit happened too me last year! That shit broke off without any pressure applied to it, and it's not like I ever slammed it against anything before or put heavy things on it. I haven't fixed it since it broke because I'm very lazy but one of these days... :lol

That thing is a piece of crap. I've broken SO many of them, and I think I take good care of my stuff. I finally gave up and switched to my B&O phone headset.

mine broke a few days ago too. i have to apply tape every time i want to play. fuckers.

i stepped on my ps2 headset and it didnt snap.

Mine broke as well! I used a bunch of tape wrapping it in a very elaborate manner, but even then I'd have to reapply it ever other week or so. It's like it actively trying to come off.

is there a headset i could get that's just an earpiece, like for a cell phone? i want to chat it up, bauer style

You can plug pretty much any cellphone headset into the Xbox communicator box.

Why are people stepping on their headsets?

Stupid PSP screen scratches so easily when I step on it!

ugh, I did this as well. I put tape on it. not sure what kind of tape it is, it's brown and made of somekind of non-shiny material, looks a bit like band aid tape, works pretty good. ugly though.

Live headsets are shitty quality.

Try to get your hands on some of this:

Plastic Welder

Good shit bro. I've used their general purpose epoxy (2 part) on anything and everything and it's the best I've used. As a matter of fact, I got it from a guy who works in one of AEP's power plants. He said they use it in plant maintenance, so take that for what it's worth.

Short of that, try some stuff made by Versachem. It's a two-part epoxy made for plastics. I'd look for it auto parts stores- I bought it at Advance Auto Parts.

I broke mine too, then bought a $5 Madcatz replacement which is pretty good.

Recently went ballz out for this.

$80 is damn steep, but I like it. The sound quality takes a slight dip, but now I can take my Halo party into the shitter with me.

It's alos a big help for Street Fighter, because my Live port has to be on the floor.

BTW, everything that the IGN review says about the mute function on this product is wrong. I dunno is Logitech fixed it from before, but the mute is just a light tap on the headset's button, like it should be.

You can use those, though you'll have to sand down the extra plastic collar around the headphone jack on the controller dongle.
