well... it's really simple to do but damn hard to explain, especially in written form. seriously just think about it.

i usually wrap the main sides and then fold in the paper at the remaining two ends.

its that hard eh? that hard to tape the paper to the edge of the box and unroll the paper to the size of the other 3 sides. and then fold the edges.

i mean they sell the little packages of paper with the lines and directions on them

When I give gifts, I always wrap them in the shittiest wrapping material I have laying around. Newspapers, old ripped cloth, towels; it's a running joke. The gift inside is what counts anyway. This year I'm gonna wrap presents in masking tape with the adhesive side on the outside. That'll be fun to watch.

I work in a toystore, and we wrap EVERYTHING, no matter how big or small it is, or how many gifts the customer wants. We use 40 kilometers or so with paper every christmas, and each of us wrap around 20000 gifts every year.

I guess I average around 10 seconds on a small package, like a game. I can even do it without looking, while talking to the customer, and get a perfect result. But how I do it is a MYSTERY...

I'm really bad at wrapping presents. Unless the girlfriend does it, I just buy those paper Xmas bags, with a thin sheet of red or green paper in the inside and it ends up looking something like this.
