Dean was definitely my pick... definitely had the most charisma and balls out of all the Democrats... too bad the media screwed him over portraying him as some kind of whacko. Though I'm not sure how much more effective Dean would've been than Kerry... Rove would've found some way to lie about him...

Yeah, but Dean would have had the stones to go after Rove for it. It was a failure of the highest degree for the Dems to cut the legs from under Dean. He may not of won but, he would have gotten America to at least think. If it wasn't for him the whole public correction of the war would have never gotten off the ground. Dean made it ok for people with common fucking sense to speak out loud.

you think dean would have come as close as Kerry did? With Dean you would have lost all of the upper mid-west and probably Pennsylvania.

Kerry ran a shitty campaign no question. Dean would have been an electoral disaster and taken hundreds if not thousands of local Democratic office holders out with him.
