Hmm. I have some of these games already.

I don't have Project Cars III or Naruto, and I do like racing and fighting.

Worth it for those 2 games?

The hyperbole to paint Zestiria as some terrible game is hilarious. Especially when people claim to like Symphonia more. Which is an actual mediocre game
Symphonia was a breakthrough given it was a major meaty JRPG on the GC and was the most significant international release of a Tales game yet.

After playing through ToE and ToP though I was kinda let down by it.

I still haven't decided if I should get this bundle or not.
Need a new computer soon. Been meaning to get one since october.

Ensalved is good port, in that it runs fine without any issues.
However the textures really show how outdated they are.
Recommend playing on Easy as the combat isn't all that grand.

I'm in. For less than seven bucks Project Cars, Enslaved as bonus.

Kind of disappointed that the 40K game attached appears to be pants.

Wait what? Trading card drops are affected? Also what do you mean computer says no o.O
It's supposed to be only if you successfully get a refund (to stop people using the policy for marketplace gains) but that isn't what happened to me.

The reply was a completely generic refusal and might have been a copy paste of 2 weeks of purchase and less than 2 hours play time despite giving everyone else an exception to this so called rule.

Some of the replies in this thread are good examples of why I stopped listening to/caring about tales fans' opinions on tales games.

I really haven't played a single tales of game in like 15 years, why is this game so badly criticized? is making me have second thoughts on going for the $15 tier and just get the BTA one

lol Eternal Crusade getting no love. Any why should it though. Gosh I just may pay $7 bucks to see how bad it really is.

i still have a key for project cars from the previous monthly bundle.
Anyone need a key? (i only got one so first to pm/reply will get it)

EDIT: aaaand it's gone :-)

Personally, while there are definitely things I like about it, it felt mechanically obtuse in a way that really dragged the game down.

It's very experimental for the series, with a lot of what they were going for not really paying off. Huge open fields of nothing, bad camera, plot that revolves around an annoying collect-a-thon 2/3rds through the game, a grind heavy equipment system that becomes very tedious in harder difficulties, and odd story decisions revolving around two of the characters. Not all is bad though. The cast is interesting enough and the music is the best in the series. Combat is fun though a little over reliant on some abilities. Some people love it, while others loathe it. It's the only Tales game I've played that I couldn't bring myself to finish. $15 isn't bad for the game, but your mileage may vary with the game.

Never played Zesteria, but seeing some people love Symphonia (most fans will tell you it's better than Phantasia, which is like saying the CDi Zelda games are better than LTTP), I know I can't trust fans of the series with opinions on the game. Will probably pass though, too many new games, will wait for a better price on it.

That $1 tier though, been waiting for a good Enslaved price for a while, and it comes with AC and PacMan, awesome!

Just a warning. Project cars, and take this from someone who only tried messing with it for 2 hours, does not play well on a controller. My experience was awful, lol.

I'd welcome any help there though...if there is much.

I'm thinking a wheel is the best bet.

Eternal Crusade trailer looked great. Went to check reviews. Absolutely disgusting lol. I can't imagine the game has improved much since the bulk of those reviews. Anyone playing it? What do you think?

A wheel is preferable, but these settings served me well for the past year.

EDIT: Anyone who is planning to play Project Cars with a controller should avoid using the default settings. They are terrible.

how is Zestiria?

They tried to evolve the system by letting battles happen exactly where you encounter the enemy, but the camera didn't evolve at all. Some battles end up being straight up intolerable because of this.

That's based off my PS4 version experience so I dunno if somebody managed to improve the experience on PC somehow.

what the fuck

Anyway, how's the Tales game for someone who can't stand jrpg tropes? only Tales i liked (not loved) was the one on 360, Vesperia i think

@nvm, now that i think about i don't care about Naruto, PCars i already own, only good think is the incentive to get Little Nightmare, but i'll just buy that stand alone

how is Zestiria?

As a Tales fan, I found it very "okay". There's nothing offensive about anything it does, it's just serviceable all around. Everything gets a passing grade with nothing standing out as being particularly exciting or noteworthy.

I don't really hate the time I put into it but I eventually dropped it just because I thought there were better things to do with my time than play something that's just "okay". Don't know how the game ends.

Your analogy is extreme. Symphonia is not CDi-tier, come on.

The thing to understand is that Symphonia is like the FF7 of the Tales series which means most people's opinions on it are wrapped up in nostalgia as it was their entry point into the series.

Okay..bundle isn't available in my region? The entire thing? That's a first.

edit: tried to order via VPN, but they canceled it on the spot :/

This is correct.

(And I actually played Symphonia within the past 2 years)

Anyway, how's the Tales game for someone who can't stand jrpg tropes?
Tales games are the most stereotypically trope-y JRPGs I can think of. I'd argue that Zestiria is actually less bad about this than many others in the series, but it's still a huge factor.

lmao comparing Symphonia to Zelda CD-i, wut?

For the record anyone who can't stand anime/JRPG tropes should generally stay away from the Tales series. I think Zestiria is a little lighter on that stuff than average for the series but God help you if you play Graces.

Maybe, though I find that Symphonia still holds up to its nostalgia a lot better than other games, even if Vesperia basically does a lot of the same things but better.
