A couple of years ago, I bought a one year subscription to Humble Bundle. It cost only 80€, but the big advantage was that I could skip any month, so if there was a month I didn't like, I would not waste it.
This promo also happened during last December, and it was supposed to end in the 25th. But they probably didn't sell enough, so they are back at it.
I bought this 6 month bundle. And I got 2 very nasty surprises. One was that the December Humber Bundle was immediately activated with no input from me.
And that was a bundle I had no interest in, not one single game. So that was one month wasted already.
But the worst part was that I would lose the discount if I paused during any month. This means that there is potentially more months that will be a waste. So in the end, I would probably save nothing.
For Humble Bundle to block skipping a month, in such a way, leads me to believe that the next months are not going to be that good.
My recommendation is to buy these bundles individually, meaning you buy only the ones that have games you care about.

Also remember that when the bundle launches during the first Tuesday of the month, it costs 12€.
But towards the end of the month, they start sending offers to buy the same bundle, between 7-10€. Depending on how many bundles we bough at discount, recently.

Edit: I did ask for a refund when I found out about the problems with this promotion, and they returned the money immediately.
So at least their refund policy is very good. Just make sure not to open the bundle, if you want a refund.

It depends on the games. If you use this can you still pause the sub and still get the full 6 months? I often pause my sub when there are no games I'm interested in.

Pretty bad deal IMO, I skip plenty of months, so there's no way I'm spending that much on humble every 6 months; the freedom of being able to skip whenever is much better than to be obligated to months I'm not interested in.

It depends on the games. If you use this can you still pause the sub and still get the full 6 months? I often pause my sub when there are no games I'm interested in.

This is what it depends on.

I value being able to pause whenever a month's games don't take my fancy (and/or I already own a significant portion of them).
