Humble Nintendo Indie Bundle for the Americas

You could have added that this is North America only to the title. Cool that bundles are coming to Nintendo platforms but region locking is still not cool.

Well all of the Americas (not including Brazil) not just North America.

Pretty cool. I have most of this on PC but I BTA anyway.

I really wanna try The Fall and Mighty Switch Force. Wonder what they'll add next week.

For you.
Because everything on Nintendo systems are region locked? There is nothing HB can do here, it's not the best thing in the world but still a good trade for those having a NA console.

It's not about HB, it's about Nintendo. They could easily generate European codes as well.

Hopefully a mod can clarify the title, I didn't notice this before posting the thread.

Huh, that's new. Cool though.

I've already played through Guacamelee and have never heard of Woah Dave... but I never got around to buying Mighty Switch Force, so I'm in for $1.

Glad to see one of the big 3 doing this although kind of disappointing for me personally, have a good chunk of them thanks to PS+ and none of the others interest me that much.

Still cool though. Hope Sony and MS do the same soon.

Good on Nintendo but the selection of games could be a bit better.

Woah, is it the first ever non-PC bundle across all the bundle sites?

Yeah, this is the first. And I'm genuinely surprised it's that it's Nintendo that's first off the mark.

With that said, Humble's going to get roasted for hosting a region locked bundle, even if that's pretty much entirely due to Nintendo.

I believe this is mostly due to the Eshop stores being locked by region in the first place. I'm guessing it was NOA that went through to set this up with Humble Bundle and that NOE would have to do the same as well. I don't know whether NOA has any say in what NOE does or what, just speculating as to why the bundle may be only for the Americas.

Also really cool to see humble bundles for consoles. Probably gonna pick up the Average Buy-in later.

Indeed. Although I wonder how many Wii U owners is in Mexico+South America (not including Brazil). Are we talking even about half million?

I would like to know the numbers for that area. I would think the 3DS would be more wide spread then the Wii U simply due to cost alone. By how much would be interesting to know.

For Steamworld Dig and Olli Olli, do you get a 3DS and a Wii U version, or do you have to pick one?

Good question. I know Olli Olli had a buy one get the other version free setup. Steamworld Dig didn't. You had to buy both versions if you wanted both copies.

Yeah, knowing how Nintendo operates this is just the result of it being organized by NOA unfortunately. Awesome of them to do but the lack of consistency between the departments is so frustrating. Nothing new for Japanese companies though.

Not defending this though, the option for European keys really should have been there. :/

Yeah, there's no way they would have been able to de-region lock only for this one bundle. While Nintendo sucks for region locking in general it's not like they went out of their way to region lock these. A PS Humble Bundle would technically be somewhat region-locked too, you have to redeem PS codes on an account of that same region (but the hardware is irrelevant and on PS3/4 making multiple accounts is no big deal)

Region lock and it only being for the Americas aside it's still pretty dang cool of them to support this. I'll look into getting them.

Are each of the "Nintendos" so distant of each other that NoA can decide that by itself and didn't try to at least get NoE? How come?

That's cool of Nintendo being the first Humble Bundle on console, but that's a pretty bad execution. Humble Bundle is supposed to be a happy celebration of games and charity! Not divisive.

Awesome to see console offerings! I'd stopped paying close attention to most of them since I seem to have everything on PC and mobile already (sadly, I admit).

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free

Nope...most keys work on every EU eShop.

Its just a NoA initiative....thats all, they are proving the codes and worked something out with the featured Indies. Its effectively an NoA promo, just weird because we arent used to locks on PC/Humble Bundle.

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
That's pretty cool. The first console Humble Bundle.

Too bad they aren't equipped to deal with digital region locking that exists on consoles.

Europe, shut up and play your non-gargantuan N3DS with cool face plates

No but really, I don't know why they can't provide European codes. Sucks.
