It's just so mean! lol
Yeah, I'm making too much of a big deal, I know, but there's quite a bit that's annoying, like they really make the point you only get a revocable licence and no ownership and have no rights, they can do what they want and you give up your right to any legal recourse and submit to binding arbitration only, and then you also agree to pay all of their legal costs in any dispute yada yada and you have to consent to your pc being monitored while the game's running (anti-cheat, I know, but still...) etc. I can really feel the love.
I haven't played anything other than indie games on pc really, so I'm just not used to it. I shouldn't have read it. I guess I'll get over it and agree to it at some point soon though, just not now.
First to quote me, can have F.E.A.R. 3.
Did I win?
Got it mainly for Scribblenauts, but I hate the Steam thing. I forgot my password (I only had Just Cause 2 on it when it was on Amazon for 2.50 or something years ago) and it was impossible to change it, so I said fuck it and created a new account.
DRM sucks.
I pray you never catch foul of Neogaf's DRM.Got it mainly for Scribblenauts, but I hate the Steam thing. I forgot my password (I only had Just Cause 2 on it when it was on Amazon for 2.50 or something years ago) and it was impossible to change it, so I said fuck it and created a new account.

Four games for one dollar, poor youHumblebundle just keeps getting worse and worse, seriously. First, it was pay whatever you want, even a penny. Then it jumped to $1 entry fee, massive jump by a order of magnitude. Now they won't even give you Steam keys, but make you link your Steam account to use them. Lame!

Nah, usually it's two maybe three GOOD games for one dollar, rest are crap or mediocre. But you missed the context entirely... Point was the goalpost keeps moving. And for really no real reason concerning the Steam keys.

Actually you can still gift the keys and such. If anything it's more of an easier way to add games.
Also are seriously being angry about them preventing abuse on the system with the 1 dollar minimum? At the very least they're providing the game free of DRM with less then 1 dollar.
"Oh no how can I resell my keys now"
It's a fucking charity event, I don't know what goalposts you're speaking of. People abused the system, the system was changed.
New way is way easier. Click a button and it's in my library
Only two good games for a dollar? Those monsters.Nah, usually it's two maybe three GOOD games for one dollar, rest are crap or mediocre.
Because people were paying pennies and reselling codes.I know, I just gifted all the keys except Scribblenauts. Points is, why change a system that was working fine to begin with? Just asking and being skeptical really... And even with the "pay whatever you wish" scheme, they were still making loads of unprecedented profit for this type of bundle system, I still remember people donating $200+ during that time. Guess they just wanted more, at the end of the day. Not unnatural for a business to keep upping the price if the populous is willing to pay it, and at the same time denounce skeptics with the "b-b-b-but it's still just $1". Point is, why change it, other than for business greed?
Just sucks because all the other bundle sites started popping up and following HB's pattern somewhat. So we get the same-ish prices rather than almost everybody offering a "pay whatever" system. Which, as again a advocate for the gamer, is a better deal as a whole.

Personally I can identify far more with the complaints about the humble bundle no longer pushing DRM-free and multiplatform games than about a lower limit of 1 USD.
Yeah, I didn't want to get off on that tear, but I agree, overall it started out a great idea and now they seem to just be sinking into a sinkhole. Was nice when everything had Win/Mac/Linux support, OST's, and DRM-Free and you could pay whatever you wanted. But hey, dat nostalgia!
lol, you do realize I'm into Newegg and Tigerdirect and misc PC sites for about 38,000+ over the past two years. So that made me laugh, on the inside.
Hilarious everybody's attacking me for questioning a system that would cost them less. I'm all for paying absurd amounts of cash for PC parts and technology, at release prices. But I have a different outlook when it comes to "purchasing games". But that's sort of another topic.
But hey, dat nostalgia!
Nothing to do with nostalgia; just abuse.
Don't you know the saying «This is why we can't have anything nice» ?
People were buying keys for 0.01$, giving the money to charity (zero profit to humble and publisher/developer) and selling the keys or trading them for other games (zero profit for another random publisher/developer)
Does that sound like a good business model to you?
I don't give a fuck what people were doing with their keys after they bought them, selling them for $100 a piece effects none of our pay or pussy whatsoever. Why should we as gamers give a shit about this? After all, it was a pretty good deal for gamers who got some profit off of it while it lasted, correct? And for all the "abuse" gamers have taken for the mass majority of this generation on a number of levels, I hardly think buying key's for a penny and reselling them at higher prices is the worst blasphemy ever.
Sometimes, talking to "fellow gamers" I wonder really where the loyally really lies. The bidnis, or how the bidnis effects us and how we can exploit it to better our interests instead of imagining there's this magical balancing act where both parties equally benefit. But that's just me, and I understand that a lot of people feel that we're "all in this together as a collective" (aka the bidnis and consumer). But that's just not the reality. I'm in it for the gamer alone, period.
Just wanted to quote this because it's incredible lol.

Indeed it is. Like the feeling of a halved Valium under the tongue after an hour.
It reads more like you should take the other half as well.
Bitching over ONE FUCKING DOLLAR. Really now?

F.E.A.R 2 and 3 posted for quoting, sorry for not including them at first. They don't look like my kind of game and 3 looks like it doesn't work on my PC.
