Both, really.Salmonax said:Wait, is Papa John's a franchise? Is this a case of screwing over the big company with deep pockets or the little guy just trying to keep a business up and running?

Not to be "that guy", but I feel it is my civic duty as a police officer to tell you that this would be illegal. It would fall under "theft by deception".
Having said that, it is only a misdemeanor so I don't give a fuck. Just remember, if they get wise to you if you do it too many times you could get busted for it.
Aha! I see through your ruse you evil jabberwocky. You couldn't have feasted on us plump from a week of pizza? No, you had to get greedy and fatten us up with ice cream as well. Well that was your second great mistake, demon. The jig is up!Wario64 said:Don't forget your free dessert at Haagen Dazs, 4PM-8PM today, free ice cream cone![]()
When I first used it I assumed it was a promotion. The code is entered into the "promo code" area of an order. It wasn't until today that it was said these codes are for messed up orders. I'd think it'd only be "theft by deception" if you are actually deceiving someone. What kind of idiot company makes comping a free meal available to everyone with a computer?Shick Brithouse said:Quoted for the new page...

I only use 50 posts per page and didn't want it to get lost. And yes you are deceiving Papa Johns because you are exploiting something meant for customers that had their orders messed up.Dali said:When I first used it I assumed it was a promotion. Is that what it is? Do you have a source?Shick Brithouse said:And yes you are deceiving Papa Johns because you are exploiting something meant for customers that had their orders messed up.
No, as I said I was not deceiving anyone as nowhere in the order process does it make mention that this is anything but an awesome promo. I didn't know (and still don't know for sure) the real purpose of these codes was a complementary meal for customer service purposes until today. Had they asked me I wouldn't have lied, but since they didn't no deceit was ever in play.Shick Brithouse said:I only use 50 posts per page and didn't want it to get lost. But like I said before, its only a misdemeanor so I don't care, just wanted to let people know.

lol, true that.Wario64 said:If it really was meant for people who had orders screwed up, they sure screwed up when the code was originally multi-use. Who does that? lol

"Here ya go guy. Now make sure you never use this again, unless we mess up another order, k."
:lol
The whole system is stupid. Most restaurants I'm aware of have local limits on the amount of food they can comp a month, and it's usually controlled by the manager. If this is the way their comp system works then it deserves to get abused... just like traffic laws at 4AM, right shick?
Pretty much. Lesson for the day for businesses is don't make exploitable promotional code systems.Wario64 said:If it really was meant for people who had orders screwed up, they sure screwed up when the code was originally multi-use. Who does that? lol

Yep I got charged 3 bux for it... plus tip.Acid08 said:So is delivery a possibility?
Not sure what exactly you mean by that, traffic laws don't change depending on the time of day.Dali said:The whole system is stupid. Sure that was garlic sauce?Dresden said:Man, what the fuck happened to their garlic sauce? I hadn't had Papa John's for a long time, but they used to have this creamy garlic sauce instead of the clear oily goop that they have now. Gross.

Judging by your post you probably are in the fuck da police population of GAF, and that's cool. I'm sorry you've had bad experience with cops before, but typically I'm a very liberal minded person. Hell I've even posted things to help people about car searches and different things to give information because I'm not one if those cops that like to act like a prick or beat someone over the head with stupid bullshit.
I doubt minimum wage employees give a fuck.Funtruck said:Sure that was garlic sauce?
I don't imagine the employees making your pizza take to kindly to people abusing the system for free pizza..

Dali said:You're changing lives today, Wario. You've single-handedly solved peoples' economic problems and made joblessness a non-issue. You've given hope to those who had thought free pizza was something they would only read about in fancy magazines. You've united everyone against "the man" in this peaceful celebration of cheese and bread.
