Having said that, it is only a misdemeanor so I don't give a fuck. Just remember, if they get wise to you if you do it too many times you could get busted for it.

When I first used it I assumed it was a promotion. The code is entered into the "promo code" area of an order. It wasn't until today that it was said these codes are for messed up orders. I'd think it'd only be "theft by deception" if you are actually deceiving someone. What kind of idiot company makes comping a free meal available to everyone with a computer?

...and you obviously want to be "that guy" as you felt the need to quote yourself.

There is no reason to believe (as a consumer) that these coupons are doctored/hacked/or in general illegal to use. It is the same as a gaffer posting that xyzxyz coupon code will grant you free shipping for your next video game.

However, if you actually hacked into papajohns and created these coupon codes then that is a whole other story.

I only use 50 posts per page and didn't want it to get lost. And yes you are deceiving Papa Johns because you are exploiting something meant for customers that had their orders messed up.

But like I said before, its only a misdemeanor so I don't care, just wanted to let people know.

No, as I said I was not deceiving anyone as nowhere in the order process does it make mention that this is anything but an awesome promo. I didn't know (and still don't know for sure) the real purpose of these codes was a complementary meal for customer service purposes until today. Had they asked me I wouldn't have lied, but since they didn't no deceit was ever in play.

Edit: The above is disagreeing with me. I didn't actually order one but I could have sworn I picked "Pepperoni Pizza" from the quick menu and it came up as free + Delivery & Tax.

When I ordered my pizza last night it came up as cheese. It was 0.00$ up until I added half pineapple and half pepperoni. Each were 75 cents and then 13 cents tax, $1.63 total carryout.

The whole system is stupid. Most restaurants I'm aware of have local limits on the amount of food they can comp a month, and it's usually controlled by the manager. If this is the way their comp system works then it deserves to get abused... just like traffic laws at 4AM, right shick?

I don't see any restaurant using codes for messed up pizza. They usually just send you out a free one or give you an actual coupon. I think these are just discount promo codes for some random thing that got out.

Pretty much. Lesson for the day for businesses is don't make exploitable promotional code systems.
Though it probably isn't good form to gloat about abusing an established system.

Not sure what exactly you mean by that, traffic laws don't change depending on the time of day.

Judging by your post you probably are in the fuck da police population of GAF, and that's cool. I'm sorry you've had bad experience with cops before, but typically I'm a very liberal minded person. Hell I've even posted things to help people about car searches and different things to give information because I'm not one if those cops that like to act like a prick or beat someone over the head with stupid bullshit.
 
Man, what the fuck happened to their garlic sauce? I hadn't had Papa John's for a long time, but they used to have this creamy garlic sauce instead of the clear oily goop that they have now. Gross.
