So this actually worked for some people? Yay for free publicity for Papa Johns. I haven't been there in years... I'm not sure if there even is one in this city.

got my pizza right when I got home. However, I ordered one medium cheese and got 1 pepperoni pizza with a box full of breadsticks. Would be sweet, except it tastes fucking awful, greasy, and cheap. I won't even feed this shit to my dog

Just got back from running about 10 minutes ago. My right leg below the knee is killing me. I've icy hotted and wrapped, but it's still throbbing. Is this divine retribution? Hast thy Holy father Papa forsaken me for taking too freely of his bounty? WWPJD?

Someone on Slickdeals said that 70k pizzas were given away last night from Papa Johns. lol, no idea how true that is

Worked for me, the manager at the Papa John's I went to was curious about why the pizza was free and I told him it was a promo online, and he didn't seem to know about it.

You're looking at about 30k a year. This is an upper middle class city that liked the last bum. Just make sure you don't end up like him, shot to death in a Jeep dealership parking lot by a rookie cop.

Are the codes dead? Trying a few and seems like they might have killed them
 
Dang. Too bad I missed out on this. Tried everything, including modifying the toppings and switching from delivery to pickup. No luck. I'm in NY (for the time being), btw.

When I went to pick up my pizza, the guy just handed it to me and said, "have a nice day!"
 
I had ordered one last night to be ready tonight. They called during the day and said I'd need to bring in some postcard with the code printed on it or no go. I said that some guy on NeoGAF had said it was legit and they relented (that last part did not actually happen so I am making my own damn pizza).

So, I went in to pick up my $1.09 pizza today.

As I said earlier, right after I placed my order, my phone rang and I didnt recognize the number, so I didn't answer it. No voicemail left.

I decided, "fuck it" and tried to pick up my pizza at my scheduled 7PM time.

I made it to the store at 645 and made up my cover story. I walked in and told them that I thought that I had a pizza to pick up that my wife had ordered it this morning. I gave the guy my name and he found my order. I told him that I also wanted to pick up a couple sodas and pulled my wallet out. He told me to wait a second and disappeared to the back. He came back and told me that his computer stated that I had been told that I would need a coupon to pick up the order....And that the pizza had never been made. Now, I didn't take anything out on this poor, innocent bystander, but I did show him that I had a phone call but that no one spoke with me or left a voicemail. It made no difference. And the manager made him do her dirty work! Poor guy. I know that I was trying to con a free pizza, but it sucks that someone put that they talked to me when they didn't.

Oh well, hope you guys are enjoying some Papa John's for me.
 
Since the codes haven't been working, I officially declare this deal dead. Maybe it'll come back in a couple years like the last one. Hope you all enjoyed your cheap pizzas :)


FYI, I never ordered a free pizza myself. I just wanted to feed some hungry gaffers

Thanks man. Got a total of 3 pizzas since last night. Have one scheduled for tomorrow around 11am.. I hope they go through with it >_< Probably not.. oh well.

Anyone get their order canceled? I don't know if mine actually was, since I scheduled it for the 28th, but it's not showing up on my previous orders list.

I also missed out on those other codes -___-
 
I picked up my $1 pizza yesterday on my way home from work and am going to pick up another $1 pizza tomorrow for lunch. Thanks GAF!!
 
For those interested, I just ordered and received a pizza with one of these codes. Sorry, I didn't note the exact code, but I know it ended with a w rather than a v. No hassle about coupons, it was just delivered like any other pizza.
 
Anyone do a future order, not get an email, and still go and get your pizza?

Never got any kind of confirmation email. Supposed to get my pizza in an hour. I guess I'm not going if I never got a confirmation.

Code I used was a variant of m*p*ow if anyone feels like trying their luck.
