i played daytona 2 in the arcades with a friend and usually i win! but this time, three metres before the finishing line, he was faster and won the race. wtf? i was clearly in front for about a half round (medium track, normal car) and i did not make any error. this victory was mine. fucking two player boost - i hate sega!!!

btw:

i also played gaelco racing championship from 2004 with hydraulic seat and it was rally nice. visuals, sound and gameplay did a awesome job. my only concern was the missing force feedback. but then again the cars were flying through the screen - better than burnout!!!

I think I'll use this thread to publicize my awesome slightly related idea

it'd be cool if sega took that old sonic ds tech demo where you had to rub the screen vigorously

and used that as the basis of NASCAR rubbin' racing for DS!!

with actual rubbing!!

I Fucking hate the fact that SEGA decided not to convert Daytona USA 2 to Dreamcast, Gamecube or Xbox

(Xbox OutRun2 bonus Daytona 2 track does not count)

I thought if all players hold the start button (or something to that effect) "catch-up" mode is disabled, so at least that would get rid of that complaint
