I think much of Christianity is being phased out in favor of spirituality in the West, so a parody game is good to see. Or perhaps it's not a parody...you never know these days. It's about time we stopped believing and spending tax dollars on fanciful wishful thinking.

Because the people that make them don't like games. The purpose of religious games is trying to indoctrinate others through a medium which they prefer over boring sermons and badly translated books. For the people who pay for these to be made, their main form of entertainment is fantasizing about bible stories. They don't comprehend that other people don't find that entertaining. The idea that a game should actually be fun on its own is a foreign concept to them.
