You can always try cp24.com. If the clerk is a visible minority then I doubt it will get any traction. The reality is though that "visible minorities" discriminate too.. and from my experience, in this multicultural province, a lot more than white people.
I guess. I'd still take a free tank of gas out of the whole ordeal. More as an extra fuck you while still never giving them any of my business again.

Brampton is not cold lol. Not right now. Also many pump do that all the time. Leave old price up especially when it is low but real is high.
It's terrible that it happened to a place you visited for so long, but you handled it well. I'd further add to just don't pay any attention or thought to that idiot clerk, he's not worth anybody's time or energy the mind requires to process his behaviour. Manager, too.

It sounds more like, they got a call to handle a problem, and then when the clerk told him what the base problem is, the cop is like "Why the fuck should the police care about this?".
Then OP says "This is only a police-worthy problem because i'm black."
After which point the cops go "????", the cunt manager realizes his intended plan backfired, and he pays for the gas for OP.
Sorry to hear about that bullshit man. I had a somewhat similar altercation at a gas station myself. Paid inside for gas, then went outside and noticed that I still couldn't pump gas yet. Went back inside, and the dude refused to put gas on the pump. I know I said the right pump # initially, but this guy just wasn't giving me the benefit of the doubt. I'm honestly very lucky that the cops didn't get called on me in retrospect, because I was fucking heated. I got loud and refused to leave the store till the shit was rectified. I'm 6' 4'', 240 lbs and black. That shit could have escalated so badly it's not even funny. But I was so infuriated at the time that I pretty much lost all perspective. Dude eventually dud cave in and put the gas I fucking paid for on my pump. Never been to the gas station again. I honestly do look think me being black was a factor, and I count my lucky stars that shit didn't escalate.

Writing to Corporate is good. But you should also write the same complaint to their social media in the open. It will be much harder for them to ignore and you're far more likely to get result if it's in public.
Just remember to keep your account of what happened clinical and business like rather than an emotional fueled (ha ha!) rant.

Im black and I went to canada a few years ago (Brampton, Ontario). My two cousins and I wanted some slushies from Macs (a convienence store chain). Got to the Macs later at night and the dude would only let us in one at a time. Fine I thought because it was so late. Wrong. A group of white kids showed up and he let them all in at once. Told my aunt who I was visiting and she drove to the store and cursed out the owner.
Racism is everywhere. Sorry, dude.

being from the Fraser Valley, yeah racism is still alive and well though its thankfully no where near as institutionalized as the states. Cops are generally ok
with all ethnicities over here thankfully. a lot of older folk and dumbasses still cant handle punjabi's though. but then again some of my punjabi friends hate how prevalent gangster culture is with some of other punjabi's so its more nuanced i guess. Most suburban and city folk are generally fine. Racism against blacks is pretty rare here though on the plus side

Go back during the day and ask for the manager. Tell him what day and time you came. Tell him you were refused service because the person working there was discriminatory and a racist. If the manager isn't there ask someone for the manager's number. Don't let this shit go by the waste side or it'll never change.

I hope this wont label me as a racist: But anyone that has walked into any small, or big retail store in Brampton knows the most common ethnicity of people who live and work there.
I use to date a girl from Brampton and every time I stopped by in town to buy something, anything from gas, to a Micro Sd card from a small little electronic shop, I've never encountered a service with a smile, never really had a huge problem either but.. most of the time I felt shitty doing any kind of business with any retailer in that town.
I really think there should be a retail/ service industry reform in that town where some employees would require to take some customer service courses, where they learn how to be polite etc.
I say "that town" because I think it's a mob mentality, I live in an area where there are some pockets of brown people, not the majority of the population... And believe it or not, my local Shell and even other three gas local stations are ran by brown peeps...But they are so much nicer here. I have no idea what it is with the people in Brampton. they indeed can be dicks.

You know OP, if you are feeling vindictive you can take them up for a Human Rights violation under Racial Harassment. The court will rule in your favour. Even more so if you are in Ontario. Alternatively, bring the story to the CBC and they'll do a hit piece for you and maybe even get you free gas for a year from Esso Corporate just to make the ensuing PR storm go away

Our police tend to be night and day compared to the USA. Yeah they have problems, but they generally won't shoot you on the spot, or arrest you without a couple words or a clear reason why first.

It's pretty sad, but this is how it works. They have no control over the price they charge you. Also, if someone steals gas, it's taken out of the clerk's paycheck. It's a terrible job.
Honoring posted price isn't a law, it's self regulated.
