I did shrooms for the first time yesterday

It was a really bizarre experience, I did it with two other friend;. At first colors were extremely vibrant and I couldn't stop laughing, it was almost as if I was just extremely high on weed. But eventually it began to rain, and things started going south. We hung out under a tree for a while and it almost looked like a cartoon to me, but once we left the tree according to my friends I became extremely aggressive, started screaming and throwing things like logs and branches and such, and one friend and I got into a physical fight at some point. Eventually we parted ways for a brief period and I just stood around in the rain looking at the trees, sky, and grass, and this is when I began having really bizarre thoughts about my life and reality in general. The thought occurred to me that everyone that happened before this moment was fake, all the people I've met and things I've experienced, etc. I became animalistic and didn't feel human, it was very bizarre. I looked at a logo on my shirt and at this moment I felt as though I was in a video game or something. My friends eventually found me, picked me up and started taking me to the car, to which I still felt a bit on shrooms and felt like I was in a zombie movie or something eerie. I came down from it about 30 minutes after that.

I don't think I wanna do it again. It wasn't a particularly bad experience, but it wasn't good either. It was kinda scary too. I'm happy I can say I did it, but it was a bit too intense for me. Anyone else ever try or have considered it?

Worst experience of my life and I will never do them again. Though, it's kind of interesting to see what your mind is capable of.

I'd contemplate doing acid since I hear it's a lot harder to have a terrible 'trip' but too scared of turning permanently schizophrenic or something.

I ate Taco Bell tonight and then threw up hardcore. Emptied my entire stomach until I was heaving up acid. Not so good on my throat--I shouldn't have gotten crunchy tacos.

Shrooms can also be one of the most benign experiences of all time. I've done them, had a spiritually fulfilling time, and the next day been fine to do school, work, whatever.

I'd say bad trips often have to do with the amount of "control" you are seeking over any given situation. If you clench and try to be in control of the trip, you will paradoxically have a bad time (like a chinese finger trap). If you let go and accept all experiences (like a practiced mediator instinctively would), then you will have a good time.

But I'm sure there are reasons outside of that where it can go south....

It started out very fun for me, but slowly became more and more abstract. At first the worst that happened was that it looked like bugs were crawling everywhere and that life was just... odd. Then things started getting more and more abstract to the point of actual terror.

Hello

You are still tripping

I feel bad for people who have bad trips or otherwise are poorly introduced to psychs. I, to a quite serious degree, split my life into before I ever partook, and after my first "heroic" dose.

Gotta know what you want from it and how to deal with it, but if you do you'll learn, have affirmations, be guided through things and shown what's important in life. It's definitely not something I think everyone can or should do, but it's sad that tons of people who can benefit and contribute to a better world can't or won't.

I did acid with some friends once and it was some of the most fun I've ever had in my life. We sat up all night listening to music looking at pictures of cool stuff and laughing ourselves silly over stupid shit. The next day was kind of rough because long after the acid had worn off I found myself unable to get to sleep despite being exhausted but overall it was definitely worth it.

Been meaning to do mushrooms though, I've heard its kind of like acid just that it doesn't last as long. And that they taste terrible.

vivid colors, hanging out about a tree, throwing sticks and logs, feeling animalistic and non-human.

sounds like you became your avatar for a brief while.

What? lol

Other way around. Acid is FAR more likely to take you down a bad trip. It can be a much more intense experience, for better or worse. I'd say the best acid I ever had was magnitudes more powerful than the best shrooms I've ever had. Not all acid is really strong though. If somebody's only experience with it was with some weaker stuff, of which there tends to be a lot of around, they might find that the milder experience was easier to keep in control of. But on some good acid, you are not really 'driving' anymore. You are distanced from reality to such a great degree and you can shift from one extreme state to another from the most basic of stimuli. This also creates an inherent danger, as that state could possibly be a bad one and once you're there, it can be all-consuming as your natural anxiety and fear take over, with no rational brain to sit there and try and tell itself that everything is fine so you can calm down.

I've only ever had one acid trip(from dozens) that I would consider was a 'bad trip'. And it wasn't totally awful. Wasn't super strong stuff so I wasn't totally off my rocker, but it was fairly unnerving. But that definitely woke me up to the potential and showed me that the 'bad trip' horror stories we might hear are likely more plausible than I gave them credit for.

Later on, I did experience my first full fledged 'bad trip' and it wasn't even acid or shrooms, but salvia. Was short, but intense and very, very scary. My fault though, cuz I wasn't in a good state of mind(had a big fight with girlfriend and was staying at a friend's house for the night so we could cool off) and I really wasn't entirely prepared for the power of the stuff, thinking it would be a mild little experience, which it is anything but.

My friend just bought a load and now I'm feeling a bit sceptical about taking them...
Honestly, experiences like the OP's are the exception, not the norm with shrooms.

pics of said tacos and vomit plz or I'll tell whi-oh

I hardly hallucinated at all. My hands looked like I was using a Bioshock vigor which was pretty cool. But nothing else.

However, I did feel a deep love and appreciation for all of mankind like I never felt before.

This is why doing drugs, especially in a public place, seems like a crazy-bad idea to me. What if you'd badly hurt your friend, a passer-by or yourself?

shrooms is all about the setting.
Have a friendly and known environment (especially at the first use) and people you trust to the bone. Then you will have awesome 6 hours. It starts to get really cool when you think you can look at atomar level :D

your situation allready set you up for a bad trip.

I've talked about my vomiting habits at length before. I generally throw up every day, frequently after I poop and when I wake up. I once considered making a thread about my many entertaining vomit stories.

I did mushrooms in Amsterdam and had a great time, just a really chilled out vibe with very little visuals. Then I took mushrooms back home in Ireland where we have really strong mushrooms because of our climate. I took around a hundred and went back to my mates house. It was stupid really because we couldn't leave our mates room because his parents were in and his room was filled with fantasy models and posters of dragons and tanks. Nothing happened for the first three hours or so until my friends head started bubbling and then everything just went batshit crazy. The whole room started expanding and distorting and flashing and this went on for fucking hours. It was too much and not a pleasant experience. that was the last time I did them.

I wouldn't advise anyone against taking them as you can have cool times tripping. I've done my fair share of acid but I prefer ecstasy and coke to psychedelics.

I did acid and watched Ponyo, Squidbillies, and Super Jail once. Good animation (I'm not counting Squidbillies here) looks AMAZING. That's about all I got out of it, and the fact that it lasts forever. Plan on a solid 12 hours.

Whoa, you've seen doctors about this, right? Medication side-effects?

sounds like a bad trip. shouldn't have done it on a rainy day man.

They taste fantastic and it is nothing like acid. Definitely try some. If you are an experienced tripper go with an eighth, if you aren't/you're nervous then a half eight will be just fine. Happy tripping :)

My first time doing mushrooms was very uneventful, felt like just a very intense weed high. The only thing I hallucinated was all the lights in the room turning into lasers crossing each other.

Second time we doubled the dosage and I had a very good experience. Started off watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, movie made complete sense. Then started listening to random music, I could visualize stories vividly in my mind based on the song.

I was pretty bummed after each time that I wasn't feeling "enlightened" somehow.

has all that vomiting caused any damage to your teeth?

i watched the wall, felt like a brick with a spectre of time laying me down

I had a couple shroom shakes at the Full Moon Party in Thailand

Must have been watered down because I didn't have a big trip. At some point I was seeing faces in inanimate objects on EVERYTHING which was kind of fun and weird. And I became really talkative at some points, then really quiet. But otherwise I was pretty chilled. Some other guy ended up writhing on the ground from it, so I guess it has different effects in different people

Shrooms extrapolate all your feelings and conflicts tenfold. Only do them when you're happy in life. A good shroom trip can make it the best day of your life. A bad one can make it the worst.

I'm a gambling man, but I still wouldn't risk being subsumed in an unlimited nightmare with no exit doors.

This seems....like a problem? Do you know what causes it?
