I FINALLY GOT IT WOOOO!

Traded in RADIATA STORIES AND CAPCOM COLLECTIONS AND GOT

I love it so far. Its neat how people HATE US for the things we've accomplished so far. Rebel groups are HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously tho, its the only reason I own a gba these days.

I gave on megaman during the SNES days but i've been meaning to go back to them. I really like Zero in Megaman X. How do these games work? Does Zero obtain the powerups from the boss like how megaman did?

He does if you get a high rank on the level. In Zero 4, he can steal enemy powers with the Zero Knuckle -- the animation looks like he wants to give a hernia check -- and some of the powers he steals are pretty cool.

Thats really what it boils down to. Through suffering and pain you become equipped to realize how fucking boring these 'GOOD GAMES' the rest of you like are.

thanks to my thread sponsor, Andy!

Awesome, awesome action-platformer. Zero > X
What a surprise! The man whose GOTY is Romancing Saga picks the series with robot masters patterned after esoteric Eastern philosophies over the fair and balanced one.

Oh for Pete's sake.

Winning in Unlimited Saga is as hard as fighting a wolverine with bare hands. Naked. In the snow. With the feet tied up.
You can't beat a wolverine with your bare hands by reading FAQs on the subject for hours and learning little by little. USaGa really is pretty easy once you know how to play it.

This series does rock...best Megaman series out there...but WTF? when did they release the 4th game? I didn't even know they were developing it :(

-_-

:(

Holy shit they're up to 4 already?

I assume this one is exactly like the previous 3, only with different bosses? The first one had promise (though it was bogged down by the redundant LETS FIGHT ALL TEH BOSSES OVER AGAIN MAKES THE GAME SEEM LONGER LOL), but after playing 2 and realizing they weren't even trying to improve upon the formula, Capcom can once again suck my dick.

PS - Do you have to make a new thread everytime you get a shiny new toy to play with?

I think you mean 'after playing 2 and losing I threw my gameboy advance into the fireplace and masturbated furiously until sleep overtook me.'

Me? No, I meant more in a "after buying part 3, I honestly thought there wasn't going to be a single good GBA game released afterward so I stopped wasting my time keeping track of the upcomming GBA library" kinda way...not that you'd care though...since the only thing you seem to be good at is making great games look as pathetic as some of the shit titles you love to promote

How long before the Zero series hits DS?

I don't know. Capcom hasn't been making much sense lately, putting the Mega Man remakes on the PSP where the Legend ports have already flopped. Zero 5 could go to PSP.

I've been meaning to get back to MMZ (played only the first).

Mega Man will always be an exercise in frustration, but i'm compelled to play it for nolstagia's sake.

I finally beat this boss that was killing the hell outta me in MMZ1. I must have died on him 40 times, and then, when I finally defeated him, I did so without getting hit once.

Megaman Zero really trains you to learn patterns and exploit the weaknesses of the enemies you fight. You have to hone your skills to succeed in this series, and then, suddenly, you will feel badass because you can kill bosses that were impossible wihout getting hit. :D

Yup, that's exactly what I love about the game. It brought me back to the way games used to be (although the damage is unforgiving in MMZ.)

Now when you finish MMZ, go back and try to S-rank that sucker. Gives you an even greater appreciation.

Umm...welcome to video games.

Which one? I only ask because in my experience, compared to the original series, the subset of useful boss strategies in Zero is so small once you learn the correct one you're basically guaranteed to win without taking a hit. The overall looseness of the rest of the game doesn't really prepare you for that.

Video games used to be about that until all these mainstreamers came in and were like OMG graphics! OMG story! and other useless crap.

I finished MMZ4 today. It rocked. Now I want to try to get better rankings on all of the levels. This is the game that keeps on giving.
