I consider pop music anything on the radio pretty much, from Taylor Swift to Flo Rider to Katy Perry. I wouldn't call the music you updated the OP with as Pop music. (Kishi Bashi, ect.) Unless you classify all indie rock/pop as pop music, but at that point you are pretty much putting all music under the pop music umbrella. I agree with your post though.
