Our indie scene is thriving, and pushing new talent to the top thanks to pay as you go, the wonders of free mixtapes, and general buzz and positivity in our community. Meanwhile you're sitting oh so sadly for one of these dime a dozen cheap tricks to produce a hit you can brag to your friends about, and most of the time you're paying out of pocket. Just look at y'alls thread, you live and die by the actions of women in their 40s who probably throw their hips out trying to do dance routines they barely got right in their primes. The age of the popstar is dead, gone, ethered, sitting in a hellhole somewhere with a bunch of old Christina Aguilera music. Now you're relying on cuntry shit like Taylor Swift (LOL) and your stars are coming for features from artists we barely acknowledge (Meek, Ross) Pop music?

Even Pusha had to sell out a bit cause he wasn't selling with his gangster-gangster stuff. On the 5th show I went to he asked the crowd who had bought Popular Demand and no one raised their hands. He didn't come out for an encore. It's a shame really.

There are plenty of smaller Pop acts that get love in the PopGAF thread and in the community as a whole or, at the very least, get mentioned (Lana Del Rey, Janelle Monae, Grimes, Sky Ferreira, ZZ Ward, just to mention a few people brought up in the last few pages of the thread). The Indie Pop scene is likely just as big (or bigger) than the Indie Rap scene.
