1. I don't think All-Stars ever left. They've always been cool, just "more cool" at times than others.

2. I agree with you on the casual/dress shoes. I'm starting to build up my collection of those. I don't have anything expensive though, since I usually buy my shoes on the cheap at clearances and other discounted means.
