I had a thought while taking a spontaneous afternoon shower.

If everyone here donated just $1,000 to me, I'd be able to finish my basement.

If you're all a bunch of tight assholes, I can always get a home equity loan.

Has anyone here ever taken out a home equity loan for a home improvement project?

Whoa, we are just talking about this. Advice would be nice.

also, only need $500 from everyone here.

Where I'm from, even a dollar from each would almost buy a whole house.

What kind of mine shaft basement you trying to build?

Home equity loans are fine; they're just like mortgage loans.
Just make sure the interest rate is good, and be sure to pay it off properly.
But if all you need to do it finish it, just save up some cash and pay for it outright.

Ur from the 1940s ?? Are women hotter at that time ?

I took a home equity loan to build a pool. It's wonderful during this whole pandemic. Working while floating with cascading waterfalls behind you... it's the life.

It's going to take a while to squirrel away $45k.
Are you trying to make your basement look like this?
