I have no faith in CDPR as a publisher

The Witcher 3 was way better than Cyberpunk but the open world was still static and the combat bad again.

Overall I think a complex city open world like Cyberpunk was a disaster waiting to happen for the modified Witcher engine they ran the game on and worked better in a medieval setting.

Nice contribution. Hold my beer.
The combat was amazing in my opinion and The Witcher 3 is the greatest open world game ever made.

CDPR has never been my favorite but their games are pretty good. I liked Witcher 2 a lot. I found Witcher 3 to be too big and a bit of a slog at times with parts that are pretty boring, but other parts that are phenomenal. The experience wasn't consistent for me.

I get a similar vibe from Cyberpunk. I disliked Cyberpunk at release because it was broken for me, but it got better after the bug fixes. It still feels like it's trying a bit too hard at times and I can only play it for a few hours at a time and I have to put it down. I've been playing it off and on since the last big patch and I keep restarting it because I forget where I was. I still think it needs a third person mode, but that's just me.

Overall the pacing of their games isn't a fit for the pattern of my ADHD, but that's not necessarily a reflection on their capability as a developer and publisher. It more that I'm not completely compatible with how they present what they do.

you can't talk common sense here, we are in a place full of "I like game therefore game good" people and people who really don't care about gameplay or design and just want to look at pretty images all day...

and you are 100% right, their games all suck
Agreed. People just see pretty graphics and they automatically assume a game is good.

Seasoned gamers can see how bad the open world gameplay is.

The Witcher 3 combat was amazing? Did we play the same game?

Yes, and The Witcher 3 had excellent combat to me. Way better than The Witcher 2.

witcher 3 have one of the worst combat system (and rpg / gears/progression system) I ever played .

Its a action adventure with a bit of rpg elements like horizon zero dawn .

Its my favorite game of all time but still .

I agree but thats not really saying much lol

The combat in Witcher 3 easily the worst part of that game. I don't know of a AAA game that was worse combat tbh.

I mean...they are not wrong though.

When you see a publisher put out lots of quality AAA titles and then you see some crazy shit like CP2077 launch with virtually no AI and struggling to even meet GTA III features circa 2001, of course someone might feel someone else could do a better job if you have publishers like Sony putting out workable AAA titles.

So I don't think Sony is the reason for this post, I think any publisher putting out high quality AAA titles shows that what CDPR did was inexcusable.

Pandemic? Well other titles released during the pandemic too
Open world too hard for PS4 and XONE? What about the other open world titles that came out for PS4 and XONE that worked and had AI that could drive fucking cars and come after you in em? lol Shit, what about that the game still fucking lacks that aspect on PS5 and Series X and a souped up PC? foh

I'm willing to give a pass to so much shit in games, but not when they had damn near triple the time to make that game, yet still failed at making even Watchdogs 1 features. I'd believe maybe, just maybe this person is making this post based on their love for Sony quality titles.....if other publishers didn't put out open world titles on PS4 and XONE that worked. Thats to question how Mafia 3 and Mafia remake exist, to question how not 1, not 2...but 3 Watchdogs games exist lol So I can't just chalk this up to this person likes Sony titles, they like titles that fucking work and expect them to work and I can't fault any gamer for that.

But Cyberpunk isn't the only game they've ever made. Witcher 3 was among the top games of last generation, and Cyberpunk was largely praised on PC
