So many tears, is timeless to me. When I'm 70 years old I will still be playing that shit, trust me.

Ramirez, yeah thats a good one to.

RIP Pac. The rose that grew threw the concrete that had damaged peddles.

It really sucks that a talent like Tupac got cut down so young. I think he was one of the foremost icons of our generation... The way his art & real life intersected added up to a truly unique persona. Son of black panthers, mother carried him in prison, grew up all over the states, talented actor/rapper/dancer/poet, outspoken politically, etc. It was also amazing the way he shot two cops, got acquitted of it, got shot five times & lived with no visible aftereffects, etc. He seemed larger than life until he died.

The world will never see the likes of 2pac again, that's for sure.

It just so happened that I ended up in Las Vegas for a bachelor party this past weekend, almost exactly 8 years from the date when Tupac was shot & later died. He got shot down in a drive-by on Sept. 6th (a few hours after the Tyson/Bruce Seldon fight at the MGM Grand) and died on Sept. 13th after a week in the hospital.

The infamous intersection of Flamingo & Koval where Tupac Shakur was killed.

Our group stayed at Bally's on the Strip, only a block away from the intersection of Flamingo & Koval where the murder took place. Tupac had been riding shotgun in Suge Knight's car, waiting to make a left turn onto Flamingo from Koval lane (heading towards the Strip).

Check out these videos I shot on Saturday night, while walking back to Bally's after dinner at Piero's Trattoria:

A quick pan across the intersection, featuring commentary by yours truly and other assorted drunken bachelor partiers.

Another angle on the crime scene. Notice that the site is not on the Vegas strip as is sometimes reported, but a few blocks to the east of it. This was key, as the assailants would never be able to make a quick getaway in the weekend traffic that clogs the Strip.

A reverse angle clip, looking back from the Strip side. 2pac's car would have been directly behind where the skateboarder begins, waiting to make a turn into the right side of the screen.

Pour out a little liquor!
