I no longer want an Injustice 2, I want a Young Justice fighting game.

I've been recently rewatching Young Justice on netflix, and damn the series has a great cast that could be utilized in a fighting games.

Aqualad and his water bearers can set up a really great move-set
Super Boy would be great for story purposes because of his limited powers (and would solve the age old question of "How do you defeat someone as powerful as superman?" by having a less powerful version of him)
Beast Boy hasn't been featured in a fighting game yet and again opens up really great move-sets
Blue Beetle,, Psimon, Cheshire, Klarion, Black Manta all bring new perspectives and interesting play styles.
Not only this, because of the nature of the story lines there's been plenty of times in which the members had to attack each other so alter-dimension plotlines wouldn't be needed.

Not only could the story line focus on the first and second season but also the 5 year gap between the two seasons and focus on the events that happened with Jason Todd, Tula and Super Boy and Miss Martian as well as the 16 hours when the justice league went missing. There's plenty to work from using Young Justice and I feel NetherRealm Studios would do a great job with the property.

Possible Character list (with variations similar to Mortal Kombat):
Aqualad (The Team Variation, Black Manta Variation)
Robin (Dick Grayson Variation, Jason Todd Variation, Tim Drake Variation)
Kid Flash (The Team Variation, 5 Years later Variation)
Superboy
Miss Martian
Artemis (The Team Variation, Tigress Variation)
Red Arrow
Zatanna*
Batgirl*
Beast Boy
Blue Beetle
Lagoon Boy
Wondergirl
Aquagirl (Tula)
Arsenal
Impulse
Nightwing*
Aquaman
Batman*
Flash*
Green Lantern*
Martian Manhunter
Superman*
Wonder Woman*
Black Canary
Shazam*
Captain Atom
Doctor Fate
Red Tornado
Klarion
Black Manta
Lobo*
Sportsmaster
Cheshire
Psimon
Icicle Jr.
Mammoth
Devastation
Bane*
Black Adam*
Poison Ivy
Black Beetle
Green Beetle
Mongul

The * designates the characters that were in Injustice. Realistically NetherRealm could use some of the characters from Injustice as base figures for the newer characters (Killer Frost --> Icicle Jr.), (Flash --> Kid Flash or Impulse), (Wonder Woman -->Wonder Girl), (Green Arrow --> Red Arrow or Arsenal).

I know its a pipe dream, I know but I believe we have the set up for a great fighting game in the DC universe.

Why not both in one game?
Some characters do not share the same characteristics as their comic counter part, Aqua Lad for example in YJ is completely different from the one known in comics even though I think they started using Kalderahm esque character

Injustice is its own continuity it can use whatever versions of whatever characters it wants.

Injustice as the 3D Netherrealm game and Young (in)Justice with 2D sprites.
I honestly would be fine with either, Injustice 2 is the fighting game i look forward to the most at the moment, loved the first one but if WB announces a Young Justice fighter i wouldn't mind.
What's most likely is that some of those characters just show up in the next Injustice.

Why not have Injustice 2 with Young Justice's characters in them?

Personally, I loved the Young Justice story line so I would like to see that represented well in a game and also if Injustice 2 were to be a direct sequel to Injustice 1 then things would get a little messy in the lore when you integrate some of the Young Justice characters in there. For example, in Young Justice, Cyborg & Raven aren't even in the series. To add on to that you would have to explain Tim Drake becoming Robin, the creation of Superboy, Red Arrow, and a whole bunch of stuff that would kind of get in the way of what was already established in Injustice.

Damn, I loved season 1 and I couldn't get through than 3 episodes in season 2. What happenend..

How come? A lot of plot questions get answered when you delve deeper into Season 2.

Have them on a different earth then. It work the first time.
