I recently replayed Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within (2004) and I remembered why it was the best one

1) The Prince looked his best

2) It had the hottest chick(s)

3) It had this PTSD inducing motherfucker chased you throughout the game

Recently replayed this on the original Xbox and 1) I forgot how rough and tough some of those spike and blade dodgy puzzles are to get the life increases and 2) How easy it is to get lost and/or turned around back when map screens didn’t exist.

Great game though. The good ol dark middle chapter.

I watched Shirrako playing Warrior Within some time ago. He was using some modded version with improved textures etc.
I remember playing it right after the release. The best in the series. I loved the atmosphere in the game. 10/10.

It has also the best move sets. Two Thrones had two acrobatic abilities removed and Sands of Time had too few. WW has such a versatile and flexible combat, even compared to this day there are few games that matches the possibilities, e.g. to include the environment to your advantage and incorporate it into your move set.

Also the soundtrack... just bad ass.

I really like the second game. Especially the game atmosphere and songs. Damn, those songs were awesome.

But I really like the first game, Sands of Time, as well. I love them equally. One is like dark side, one is like light side. Like Yin-Yang.

The music, the somber atmosphere when no combat is happening. AMAZING GAME.
Right in my teens too.

Never played any of the games. I remember buying the trilogy on the PS3, but to this day I've never touched it for whatever reason. I need to do something about it.

What time is it?
I never got into the Sands of Time hype back when it released. I tried playing through it a year ago or so and the combat is just a chore. I never tried the sequels.

It used to be the black sheep of the trilogy because many felt it was trying too hard to be edgy. Surely still the case for some but I thought it was a fun shift from the tone of the first game.

That first one is still my favorite though. It had such a charming atmosphere which reminded me of the golden era of animated Disney. The sense of adventure and pacing was well executed and it felt so polished at the time. The intro to the game pulled you right in.

I loved Sands of Time somewhat, never liked the combat. It didnt feel tight and WW doubled down on that shit so I never really played this or TTT. PoP08 was great though.
