Am I the only person who seriously doubts we'll see many good fps on the Revolution?
Nope, I don't think there will be a lot of them either. But if all the impressions of the interface are accurate, the few good ones we'll get will be quite the experience.Musashi Wins! said:so it's genetic?

Hmm, completely opposite here. The first-person factor made it better for me.The Take Out Bandit said:Maken X was one of those games I wanted to like, but making it an FPS really ruined it all for me. I need to get a mod chip so I can play Maken Shao.

The Kings Field series is my guilty pleasure. I actually pro activley went out and tried looking for Kings Field 2 (Got it). I love the original (American).
Metroid Prime was made by a Japanese developer? Hmmm.....CO_Andy said:Metroid Prime

Although I haven't heard either way, I always sorta guessed Maken Shao was a piece of junk (techwise) because it was such an early PS2 release. My friend has it. I should check it out.

Shadow Tower Abyss is definitely recommended for its variety of weapons and armor, and for basically being King's Field with guns. Too bad King's Field PSP is vaporware.

segatavis said:They tried. The game was fully localized, and Sony wouldn't let them release it.
Yep. And Coded Arms, of course.Dr. Strangelove said:Isn't Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex for PSP a FPS?
John Harker said:Really? Why? I know the first one sold laughably, but they at least got 2 KF's....
Ha, and they let From release Eternal Ring...
1up said:Though the game was never officially announced for North American release, Agetec today confirmed that it had a localized version of From Software's PlayStation 2 first-person RPG Shadow Tower Abyss in development. According to a forum post by the game's producer, the English version was nearly completed, but the project was cancelled after Agetec was unable to secure concept approval from Sony Computer Entertainment America.
Though Shadow Tower Abyss belonged to a different, more horror-tinged series, it's close kin to From's better-known King's Field games, and was followed by some of the same small cult of fans. However, its slighly-less-then-cutting-edge graphics and gameplay were apparently sticking points with SCEA.
