I'm curious to see what other folks are thinking... for me I've seen enough that:

Xbox360 - Need for Speed Most Wanted
PS3 - Warhawk or Ridge Racer dammit!

We'll have to revisit this thread after the Nintendo conference.
 
I will buy PS3 console if it has KillZone (2) as a launch title.
I will buy Xenon console if it has ShadowRun as a launch title.
I will buy Rev console if it has EarthBound as a launch title.


(I am buying all three at launch, even if these games do not appear)
 
Xbox 360 - Madden '06

Revolution - Doesn't matter. I'll have to sucker a family member into buying me a Revolution for my birthday or xmas '06.

PS3: Not planning on getting one. My shallow pockets can only afford the 360.

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that IGN was wrong on that info :(

But for me, I don't care, just release PS3 and I'll buy it. I know there'll be something at launch that piques my interest, and RR title (that always launches with PS hardware) would be enough for me.
 
360: Mistwalker RPG. Otherwise not a chance at this point.
PS3: Too early to say unless Killzone 2 is real. Gundam could also work for me.
Rev: We shall see in a few hours.

Anything from Sega will turn my head.
 
Unless Nintendo shows something truly awesome and innovative, i'm not interested in buying any of these consoles yet. Watching a few glossy demos of upcoming games doesn't spur a desire to purchase a system in me. When info is released on just what's new in these games aside from the graphics, i might be sold.
 
PS3 - That Insomniac FPS, I-8 (is that right?)
Xbox 360 - Probably something crazy at this point, like a new Panzer Dragoon
Revolution - Zelda, Metroid, Mario, whatever

Xbox 360 : Nothing

Rev : A real mario game

Now, about no game would make me buy 360. See, I LOVE gta. Whatever system it goes to, I go. And there's no way in the world gta 4 is launching with 360, so I won't be getting it.

Xbox 360 - Shenmue 3

I never buy Sony consoles at launch. Always over-priced and have hardware problems in the first batch.
 
Any console - Good games (by *my* definition of 'good').

Duh. Everyone else is wrong.

Except DCharlie, who's probably closer to what I'll actually do.

Good platformer, adventure, action rpg, rpg etc. Not usual FPS, driver, fighting, etc so far. I likely be waiting a year after launches, hehe :lol
 
I'm buying X360 at launch regardless.
I'm 95% likely to buy PS3 at launch regardless.
I'm not buying Revolution at launch, I don't care what they show. That will be a price-drop pick-up, if anything.
 
360: Madden
PS3: significantly better version of Madden
Rev.: aaah....Mario football significantly better than Madden?
 
Revolution if it has a "real" Mario game.
360 if it has an insanely good PD, Blastcorps or Shadowrun game.
Anything that has a great online NHL or Demo Derby game.
 
so I see some of you won't be buying any of the consoles at launch
 
I don't think I will be buying any of the systems at launch, but at this point I am leaning towards the PS3. The PSP-PS3 details that are released this week will have a great bearing on my decision. Since graphically everything should be a wash between the PS3/X360, that shouldn't make too much of a difference. Honestly, which platform my GAF buddies go to will probably make my final decision.
 
I'm going to buy Xbox 360 no matter what. Together with my PSP, I'll have the two consoles on the market that are head and shoulders above the competition, and which can offer great things besides just games.

PS3 will win me over if it shows a remarkably superior selection of racing games.

Revolution is looking like a no-go. Nintendo is as badly managed as Disney now.

I will buy an Xbox360 when it launches because it's the first out of the gate and I can't wait.
I will buy a PS3 at launch if either GTA4 or some other must have title for me.
I will buy a Revolution when a game that I absolutely need comes out for it. Time will tell.
 
Xbox 360 - Dead Or Alive 4 and Perfect Dark Zero. The latter being more important.
Revolution - New full-fledged Mario platformer.
PS3 - Virtua Fighter 5.
 
I would buy an Atomiswave in console form if Metal Slug 6 was a launch title.

You can also replace "Metal Slug 6" in the phrase above by "Mark Of The Wolves 2"
 
Xbox 360 and PS3 don't need killer apps for me to buy them at launch time. I am certain they'll have fantastic titles coming down later in their lifetimes. For Xbox 360, PGR 3 and Oblivion are the glaring killer apps for me.

Revolution is the complete opposite. They need to really put some bait at launch. Kid Icarus will get me to reserve it right away.
