For the longest that I've been gaming in the arcades(still till this day), I would've been great if Capcom could've gave us a another sequel to this:

btw, the name of the game is D&D Tower of Doom/Shadows over Mysteria

i enjoyed this game back in the day, and magic sword [though not the snes version, ugh...].

capcom should have a go at updating some of their old arcade games to consoles, like this and area 88/carrier airwing, maybe into a panzer dragoon type shooter.

they're not doing too well, so maybe a bit of nostalgia may work for them.

edit - i'll also like to see an updated captain commando :D

hell yeah... these are the games i bought a Saturn for, because they were promised for it at hte beginning.

Guess what, they became one of the last games to be released :lol

There was suppose to be PSX port, but they cancelled it seeing that the PSX didn't have enough RAM whereas the Saturn had the RAM cart to give it a near perfect arcade conversion.

After the first screen I thought it was Knights of the Round (SNES). Not that this information adds something to this thread.

knights of the round was the earlier attempt at this sort of coop bash em up rpg, and was fun too... i was hoping warzard would be in the same vein but it turned out to not be..

The Capcom AD&D BEUs were awesome. I still wish they had brought them out here, in the US, on a console. Jp Saturns only, I believe...

The closest I can think of to a current gen equivalent of their D&D games is Maximo and DMC, but they're more platforming than anything

I remember this game, it was neat. There was another game I enjoyed more though, similar, but simpler, had more character variety.. Much longer game, final boss was a red dragon.. I wish I could remember the name though..

Umm nope?

Try Demonstone for the PC or LOTR: ROTK for consoles. Both are basically the same and both are very similiar to that D&D game (I've beaten it in arcade).

Thanks for that link, golem.

Edit -
However, you might want to consider removing it from your post, as that site provides ROMs for downloads...

Speaking of this game.....

Who else puts their cursor over the shopkeep's boobies between stages? It's great isn't it.

^^^I would love for capcom to resurrect these game on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Revolution

I remember that game! You had to push right and thrash the SWORD button. Then put in three more credits. Then leave. Saying, "Huh."

If I remember rightly, Golden Axe was the start of "WTF THIS GAME WAS SO SHORT AND HAS NO REPLAY VALUE."

THIS was around that time.

i believe you made a mistake...

the correct answer is strider

Strider did get a sequel. Strider Returns on the Genny... or was it the Gamegear? Strider 2 on the PSOne, etc.

Forgotten Worlds (with the arcade dial/fire button thingy, of course).

You can't put a price tag on being able to play as a guy with a mohawk who alternatively talks like Redd Foxx or Burgess Meredith, depending on the cutscene.
