If Dr. Frasier Crane was still in Seattle...

I don’t mean to make a funny thread dour, but it’s amazing how far our most cherished cities have fallen. These places are supposed to be points of pride for Americans, awesome places to visit or move, etc.

The thread kind of makes me think how I’ve gone from wanting to visit Seattle when this show was on, to never wanting to get close to it.

I thought Frasier was coming back but in a new city?

It’s like CSI. We had Frasier: Boston, Frasier: Seattle and now we’re getting Frasier: Macon, GA.

It's been on weekday mornings, at least since the lock down began, in the UK, Ive been watching about 3 episodes a day.

It's gone from being a show I thought was fine, but not worth giving my full attention to as a child, to one of my favourite sitcoms ever. Just an incredibly well written, acted and funny program, and it's a damned shame nothing like it would ever, ever get made today.

I think they thought about it but backed off after realizing it wouldn't be the same without John Mahoney. Don't get me wrong I liked Frasier and almost as much as Seinfeld but everything has it's due course man.

The rebooted Fraiser for a younger audience...😄

I never got why he moved back to Seattle. At the end of Cheers I thought he and Lilith were back together (though they were certainly in a rocky relationship after the affair with the underground biodome guy).

There is an episode of Wings where Lilith and him are on vacation in Nantucket Island. It doesn't go too well. You could tell their marriage was doomed.

How in the world has Seattle "fallen"?

lol.. what exactly are y'all believing about the protest zone thing? All of my friends have brought their kids down there.. and since the violent cops left, it's been incredibly peaceful.

When you mean peaceful are you taking about the random fires, people getting there shit stolen and businesses and people getting extorted for money or property by guys who look like cosplaying Power Rangers?

That was pretty good. I admit I never really gave Frasier a chance, but it was on when I was still very young. I need to check it out now that I can appreciate the witty humor.

As much as I love Frasier, a lot of the humor is easy to miss out on as a kid. There's a bunch of jokes that you just understand better when your older.

Prior to the protests? Seattle is/was a fantastic city. Once Covid and this all settles down it’ll go back to being one.

hella expensive though.
