I'd combine dragonflys and small birds to create a dragonfly as long as your forearm, with a wingspan of say 10 inches. Those bad boys, in addition to scaring the ever-living fuck out of everyone who had one buzz around them in the dark, would eat a pound of mosquitoes a day to live, which would make being outside during the evening in a Manitoba summer somewhat bearable. Also, dragonflys are inherently cool, so mathmatically speaking really big dragonfly's must be many times cooler.
