Someone explain how remaking an RPG makes any damn sense at all? Especially one that sold in the gajillions and everyone and their mother has played like FFVI.
Absolutely. (Wasn't there talk about this at one point that was killed? I remember reading about it here, in fact.) The right analog stick on the controllers could become your bionic arm, you could shoot it out by flicking the stick in a direction to grab onto something (height would be slightly automatic, I suppose), then to detach, you tug it away from the thing you're clinging to.
It's the only Final Fantasy game that is hard to look at graphically now.
All the older FF's have been upgraded with "FFIV like graphics", which gives a higher end 2d look. FFVIII had correct models and everything still looks great in that game.
FFVII is just a mess to look at in terms of in-game models.
Spider-man for PSX. That game's story+ Spider-man 2's open-endedness+ Spiderman 1's Combat System and Aerial Battles+Ultimate Spiderman's graphics/style=heaven.
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy VII(and I guess VI)
Final Fantasy Tactics
Tomb Raider NiGHTS
Daytona USA
Marvel Super Heroes(Capcom/Saturn)
Tobal No. 1/Tobal 2
Cause Kid Chameleon would rock, its been forever since I played this game. Time to dig out the Nomad and play it again. Anyways a remade version would kick serious ass. Only maybe cut down on some of its difficulty though,I could never pass the stages with the skyscrapers, damn those were tough. A remake would rock-let it be done SEGA
Remakes should generally only be saved for games whose graphics and/or gameplay mechanics have failed the test of time. yet the core of the game is still a lot of fun. I don`t know if anyone played the old PC RPGs Might and Magic I: Secret of the Inner Sanctum and Might and Magic II: Gates to Another World would be great candidates. There aren`t a lot of RPGs left anymore where you create your own party of characters and then just get thrown into the middle of a huge world with nothing but a general "save the world" goal and you have to discover most stuff on your own. Good times, good times...
Yup. This and River City Ransom done in a huge 3D city full of rival High-Schools with the same go anywhere you want type gameplay. This would kick so much ass and make so much money.
