...make it the mother fucking Zoobombs! Holy shit...2 hours of non-stop awesomeness. I'll be deaf for a few days but it's soooo damn worth it.

Also, to the 2 hot blond chicks I'm sorry I kept touching your asses but you kept bumping into me. Anyhoo.

Zoobombs!!

Jurassic 5 plays live near me all the time. One of these days I will go to a concert. Hell, they're pretty much free.

CMW was cool. Was only able to go out tonight but I'm sure glad I did. Bonnie Pink is really really cute. Damn.

More artists from Japan shold make the trek to Canada.

What program do you use to photoshop a picture?
Went to the Sage Francis concert at musicbox on thursday night. I would have to say them.

radiohead. one of my favorite bands ever.. and i have yet been able to catch any of their live shows.

:(
I have! :D

Anyway, even though they broke up, I'd see the Pumpkins for sure. They are probably going to reunite in a couple years, and honestly if that WAS the last concert I saw I wouldn't care.

As it stands now... the last show I saw was Radiohead. Great show.

I'll have to see Tool live some time, otherwise my life will never be complete. Next time they come over here I'm going to sleep in front of the post office to be the first in line!

Tool as well, never seen them before :*(

And like Crispy, will camp in front of the post office, except that I will have other friends camp out at different post offices :D

Moet dat kaartje hebben!!

Pink Floyd live would also be a good contender

The Cure.

You ask for ambient, mood and atmosphere? They are the kings at that.

BTW: I never followed any of the Maiden's work, but two years ago I had the chance of going to a concert. I had a great time, but my god, it was one of the "gayest" (not in a negative way, please, blame my lack of English skills) shows I had ever seen: tight jeans, the way one of the guitars danced... I almost got my head beaten by my friends when I mentioned, but I was braking my ass in half laughing at them. But great show. Indeed.

I've only been to two concerts, and while I'm not particularly a fan of live music to begin with, I'm seriously looking into a way to get to the Books show in Hudson, NY at the end of April. My directionally-deficient ass is a bit concerned about driving, but I lived near Troy for a while, so it isn't that far from an area I actually am familiar with...

goddamit, Griese!
I have been to so many concerts it's ridiculous. At least 30. I could count all the ticket stubs which are on a board next to me, but I'm lazy.
If I had to pick one band...I really can't say. Depends what mood I'm in.

But, if it was say a full 2 hour headlining show...I'd have to put it in this order right now(only counting bands I've seen):

1. Dredg
2. Tool
3. Atreyu

People people people. This wasn't up for debate! The Zoobombs are the greatest live band to ever walk this green earth.

Deerhoof. Short japanese chick dancing around on stage with plush fruit while playing bass and rocking your face off. Lots of broken drumsticks. Very loud. And the band is extremely tight. It's like they have a psychic connection coordinating when they'll do something complex and nuts.

They played Comfort Zone. aka the sleaziest/greatest venue in Toronto. :D

Oh man, I've heard crazy stories about that place. :lol I pass by that corner almost everyday, and I didn't know there was a club at College and Spadina, the place must be tiny, right?

I can't believe this band hasn't been mentioned, Pink FLOYD! Damn, what would I give for them to go on one last tour.

I'd rather see a Zeppelin reunion.....it could be done you know, despite the death.

One of my friends got really drunk, and spray-painted "PINK FLOYD" on a garage. Unfortunately, he spelled it "PINK FLOLD." And it never got painted over. It was there for upwards of 10 years. Every time we walked passed it, we gave him a ribbing.

Two oldies but goodies, Judas Priest and AC/DC......they can still play circles around some of these younger wannabes. Angus Young live is like nothing of this world.

I would love to catch Rammstein too.....that has to be an absolute blast. Always wanted to see Rob Zombie live too.

Switchfoot may be the greatest Live band ever.

Deal with it.

(Jimmy Eat World and Caedmon's Call are also tremendous if you like that kind of music)

Hm...there's so many great bands I'd hate to choose a band that I've already seen but how else can I judge? I'd have to go with Tool or Radiohead. I know that the next time Tool goes on tour me and a couple friends are going to go on a mini-tour with them. Rock on!

Yea it's Tool for me. Whenever they start touring again it's time for a long ass road trip to toronto from winnipeg.
Why not just drive to Minneapolis?

Anyway, Ween. It's Ween. Hands fucking down, Ween.

I've seen Radiohead (twice), Pearl Jam (twice), The Libertines, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, The White Stripes and a couple of lesser bands...

Radiohead were the best (twice), the Pumpkins weren't too good, Libertines was great and full of energy, Foo Fighters were cool, White Stripes were second best, Pearl Jam was good (twice).

Lambtron is the biggest Ween fanboy I've ever seen, so I wouldn't believe him ;)

Jesus Christ, you've seen Distrubed 4 times? Have you been mixing ammonia and bleach again, sir?

:lol :lol

Actually, two of those times were when they were still really local. They hadn't been signed yet or anything. They are great in shithole venues. The third time was when they were with Chevelle. The other time was at some Q101 show. I think Jamboree. Not exactly sure.

You haven't seen them live, obviously. 3 hour+ sets, hot new improvized parts to the songs, fantastic covers, lots of Deaner jamming out, umm... Ween music? They're incredible.

Listen for a while, get hooked, go see them this summer.

Ahhh, I see. The Helio Sequence is like that around here. There's not a month that goes by without them doing at least a show or 2.

Yeah, it's next to the Waverly Hotel and the Silver Dollar. It's basically a door leading down into a basement area.

Jason's Top 3 Live Bands

1) ZOOBOMBS
2) The Wrens
3) Radiohead
