I'm not a big rts fan (i suck at them /: ), but it looks cool so i might check it out.

Why? Isn't this game made by EA, and therefore by proxy the ex-Westwood people, the most overrated RTS designers of the era? (Seriously, they haven't made a decent, balanced RTS ever - just because they invented the genre with Dune 2 doesn't give them a free pass).

I'm a huge C&C fan, but I thought Generals sucked balls. So I reserved my excitement for this knowing that it's from the team that did Generals. However, all the previews and movies till now seem to point to a great game. I guess I was fooled by the presentation, and I should know better, since EA is always heavy on graphics and presentation, and light on gameplay...

I would argue Westwood has been living like this for it's entire existence, and it is a trait that is certainly not exclusive to EA.

That's debateable. Their track record isn't perfect but I personally enjoyed a lot of their games.
