Here ya go...

June 13, 2005 - Nintendo will release the US version of Nintendogs this August. Like the Japanese editions, the North American release of Nintendogs will ship in three different packages, each with its own beginner set of six canine breeds. There will be a total of 18 breeds of dogs, compared to the original Japanese version's 15.

Nintendogs: Labrador Retriever will contain the miniature schnauzer, toy poodle, Pembroke Welsh corgi, miniature pinscher and shiba inu. Nintendogs: Chihuahua will contain the German shepherd, boxer, cavalier King Charles spaniel, Yorkshire terrier and Shetland sheepdog. Nintendogs: Miniature Dachshund will have the golden retriever, beagle, pug, Siberian husky and Shih Tzu. The Boxer, Husky and Golden Retriever puppies are exclusive to the US version.

Nintendogs enables Nintendo DS owners to raise and train virtual puppies using the touch screen and microphone of the DS hardware. Players will then be able to place their dogs in special competitions, and trade dog data and treats between owners on other Nintendo DS systems via wireless connectivity.

Nintendogs ships on August 22.

If you think this forum isn't lousy with Nintendo fanboys, watch this thread's post count. Even on a slow day.

PS, got a new DS yesterday. Where the fuck was the alleged Mario 64 bundle? I got jack shit and the Gamestop dude acted like I was high.

Go back and raise hell until they hand it over. Don't be a Costanza, you don't have to take it!

Used store credit - wife was being bitchy - Gamestop guy should have said something, etc.

Sorry to hear that triste (do you know what your nick means in Spanish?)

I'll probably pick up all 3 editions. :o

They moved the German Sheperd!
My dog is a German Sheperd/Chow. I wanted that and a pug. Damn, I guess I'll have to trade to get'm, right?

yay welsh corgi made it in!
With the Lab too! Very good news, Corgi is my sister's favorite breed, while mine is the Labrador. So it looks like I'll only be needing that copy. Then again, all the dogs are in each game so it wouldn't have mattered, but not having to unlock what we want from get go will be nice.

yeah it does not matter the version you get, you can unlock by points and trade to get all 18 dogs in one cart.

They are tradeable but I don't know anybody around me that owns a DS so that's not exactly an option here.

you can unlock by getting trainer points, it just takes putting a lot of time into your puppy though... I also may end up with all 3 copies :)

That's good to know, but I will probably just buy all three anyway. Damn Nintendo and its mystical grasp on me and my wallet. Maybe this way, I could leave two of the copies unopened.

oh they had to go slide a boxer in there, now i gotta consider this. rrggghhhh

as far as the free mario 64, gamestop is not doing that deal.

seems everyone but gamestop is doing that sale .

I've been told all dogs can be unlocked on any version without the need to link up with other versions (ala Pokemon).

I hope they make the new dogs available in the Japanese version via downloads or something. A Husky would be really nice :)

Wow. I was told several times by Nintendo that they were only releasing one version of Nintendogs and now we have three like in Japan. More money I guess.

Ahhh, but I gotcha before you're timely edit! And I'm not kidding! :-D

I am now the leader of the Winning Team.
