Eh? It's a casual (hyperbolic) remark in an interview. It will be forgotten in a week, if not a day. Let's not blow it out of proportion. Unless the game is terribad, which I highly doubt with Kamiya behind it, no one will ever bring it up
 
If it's a great game I'll happily pick up the console to play it. It will take a lot more than an executive's say-so to make that case, though. I will gladly tune in for any media and impressions as they arrive up to and including the day it launches. That day isn't exactly imminent.
 
In all fairness to Klobb, he says it has the potential to be. Which mean it could also potentially suck ass.

Trying to keep my hype levels in check.
 
Platinum good at make great games, MS good at marketing, can't see how this will fail.
This game will be the reason to hype for MS E3.

Rare has rare to blame. Blaming MS for how their games turned out when the actual fact is that we all got older. The risks(Nuts & Bolts) was Rare's decision and the games were made by them. I'll give you shifting their development to Kinect, though.

I loved the old Rare games, but man have they aged terribly.

Hype levels will no doubt get even crazier now and if its not like getting 10s across the board or mass appeal from fans then its gonna hurt this game big time. He just should of said like "You'll love this if you enjoy their past games yada yada"
 
I have no doubts that a P* game, directed by Kamiya, will be one of the GOATs. It will be legendary. A new action legend, on the same scale as Bayonetta and DMC. But it'll also sell 3 copies. And get shit reviews...Look at Mikami's Evil Within...

Damn, I really hope this gets average sales like most Platinum games and MS decides to release it on PC
 
Hype is something to be scared of. Remember Watch Dog? I remember Watch Dog.
So the "Potential to be game of all time" is a really not interesting sentence for me. It scares me more than anything and I will probably wait to see what the first impressions are.
 
I thought there would be details? Am I missing something? I checked the article, but now I feel like I gave them an undeserved click.

Another complaint, is that the campaign is usually too short unless your playing on the highest difficulty. They need to make a lengthy campaign and not sell themselves too much on the value of multi-player.

Did I say Lobb was a dick? No. In fact, I said I understand where he's coming from more than I do typical PR figureheads. I also said it was hyperbole. Because it is hyperbole. And he's still a public figure conducting a public interview, so it's just not great form. You sound a lot more mad about it than I do, actually.

It thinks it's worse for platinum games yeah the core loves them but they don't sell well.
 
On the other hand, platinum also made korra which was meh, and anarchy reigns, which was super meh, and arguably W101.

I can't take a PR guy's word for anything, but the first thing i thought of when i saw the trailer was "donte with dragons", which doesn't interest me in the least.

In short, less talky more showing of the actual game.

For real, if you hear it in context it sounds a lot less sensationalist. Anyone truly getting worked up over this is letting their fanboy showing.

If the game is made by Kamiya and has dragons, it will be the greatest game of all time. That's obvious.

What is less obvious is will I buy an Xbone to play it?

Im just saying the game will be really epic, fun and reviewed really well. To say its the best ever is opinion like who give a damn? oot is probably the highest rated game of all time im sure you both got different opinions. Dont get so literal with it because it may cause drama. Relax.
 
What has this done other than dramatically increase expectations? This game is gonna get ripped apart by people when it comes out. Good work lol.
