Illness outbreak tied to salad served at Olive Garden and Red Lobster

I haven't ate at either of those in years but strangely enough I felt like shit this past week. With those symptoms...dun dun dunnnnn
 
Why are we importing greens from Mexico, a place with substandard regulations and oversight? Are there not enough greens grown here in the US? Not that we have't had food issues with domestic products, but I'd still trust our regulatory framework a hell of a lot more than a place like Mexico's. It's all about the averages.
