... and for some reason, no matter what I do, the CD can't be read in the PS2. I'm just trying to put couple of Genesis roms on the disc and get them to play using the PGEN (which I can run fine using the HDLoader)

I have used CDGENPS2 to make a bin/cue file with roms, and burned that on a CD using Alcohol 120%, set to option "Playstation 2" in it's pre-burn options dialog. Still, for some reason, when I put that CD in the drive, PGEN can't see any files on it, although it happily sees files on any other PS2 CD, be it a game, like Rez, or HDLoader's disc. So what am I doing wrong?

If I wanted to pirate, I'd just use HDLoader, and wouldn't be wasting time burning CDs CDs seem to be the only way to read files into certain emulators, though.
