uh, dunno what you guys are looking at... currently it says "the meeting place for all internet homosexuals."

EDIT: wow... looking at these revisions, some of this shit is pretty harsh. Too bad mods don't have power for what transpires off the forum, hm? Looks like some pretty foul shits been posted before, and the 'meeting place for all internet homos' is the tamest of the bunch.

The entry is being overrun by vandalism. I think someone needs to appeal to the mods over there. Also, you can just revert the page to a previous entry yourself.

the gaf article has been terrible in every incarnation that i've read it...not that i am volunteering to write a better one.

Yea, but the vandals are overriding the revert too fast.

Go to the history section and click on one of the previous edited timestamps links. When you find a version that is correct then just click on the edit tab and save the page, though add the word "revert" or "rv" in the edit summary.

Did you really think that starting this thread would result in a better entry?

Seems obvious that it would either result in vandalism of the entry or people adding in a bunch of tiresome in-jokes (hur hur demi hur hur FHUTA lolz).

I just checked it:

:lol :lol :lol

FHUTA was a nonsense acronym bombarding the site through a sockpuppet and varying proxies. - Lucky 6.9 20:00, 12 August 2005 (UTC)

*** Ages was a frequently recreated attack page blathering on about a GameFAQs offshoot. - Lucky 6.9 21:23, 12 August 2005 (UTC

*** Ages redirects to Gaming Age now.

Someone made Fhuta (instead of FHUTA because it was blocked) which had a definition, but looks like they deleted it already.

I just realized... are they calling us a "GameFaqs offshoot"? :lol

DJ Demon J was banned and banned repeatedly. :P

As of today, DJ Demon J no longer works in the industry. He's a good friend and a colleague and he will be missed. He's moving on to much better and more profitable things. /flex

Eh, the current GAF wiki entry is a bit self serving. Describing OP4 ages as right-wing posters as opposed to "more orthodox" posting on GAF is a bit of a propaganda skewing. Granted I think the atmosphere is better here since people actually debate intelligentlly and you won't have retards making outrageous comments, but OP4 is the equivalent of the South Park and Trey/Matt take on politics. Their generally unrestricted, vulgar, obnoxious, and quite often, get to say what most of us think anyways but are afraid to make it on a post.

well done GAF. you've managed to make our entry one of only 75 protected articles. :lol

if you seriously intend on making one have people post suggestions in this thread and then YOU add them to the wiki.

the minute that thing repoens itl just get fucked up again.

They're going to unlock it in about a day or so. Like when Fark posted a link to the "Hairy Ball Theorm" wiki site everyone vandalised so they locked it for a day then when everyone stopped they unlocked it.

the best wiki entry would just be a recap of the recent gaf in-jokes explained thread.

really though, gaf needs its own wiki, not just a single entry in wp

Somehow I think a GAF-originated wiki would just suffer immense amounts of abuse, and not enough people would care enough to keep it worthwhile.
