The Godboy that took the photos spends about 130 captions worth of condemnation of people for looting then at the end of it all breaks into a car and steals it. Righto.

Yeah. And he mentions how the media made-up and exaggerated nearly everything and then when he gets to the Superdome and sees how fucked up it is he runs away. WTH?

He wasn't all that condemning of looters at all. He does put down the guys who set a fire, or the people stealing stuff they didn't need.

I didn't get too much of a racist vibe from him, as his first image of looters is of two white guys rolling out a CD rack, and as you said, in the end he himself jacks a car. In any event I think the images, even minus the commentary, are well worth looking at. Excellent stuff.

I found it annoying how he seemed amazed that Brian Williams might not know all the street names of a city he doesn't live in - I mean who does Brian Williams think he is for not knowing ever major city map by heart?

And if he wants to convert me to Christianity I wish he'd come right out and say it . . . it's not too late to believe in being forthright.

wow, just wow...

This guy should sell some of his pictures to Life Magazine or something... He can make some money, help him get back on his feet.

In the beginning he seemed to be happy over the "preparations" the govt was making with the trucks in line and such.

I think his commentary was great--this is better than any news website i've been to.

Minus his occasional snobby pro-American commentary the pictures themselves are very very interesting. I doubt the girl from MSNBC was making stuff up. He saw the results himself when he saw all the people waiting for their busride.

You are such a tool.

Good photos, thanks for the link.

the comments were stupid

"this is a very beautiful picture, excuse me for not thinking so" or whatever it was he said

pfft

"And it was evident that Andy and I were merely two specs of salt in a sea of pepper. Not only would we have to wait forever, but more than anything, we would probably suffer dire conditions after it would be obvious that we wouldn't 'fit in'." :lol :lol :lol

Good stuff overall though. Gives you a better idea of the progression of the storm than anything I've seen yet. Kinda has a Dawn of the Dead vibe to it even.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

i can't believe you guys are bagging the author and his commentary. Nothing else to do eh?

Anyway, the pictures are simply amazing! I would have NO IDEA what I would do if a hurricane like that struck Melbourne.
