Back when CGI was still impressive. I remember seeing this in theaters. I thought it was great back then, I wonder how well it's held up.

Saw it for the first time since release a few months back and I'd say the visuals hold up better than expected. The plot and screenplay on the other hand make me a bit more charitable to today's popcorn films. I think the vast increase in access and selection of movies and shows recently has somewhat raised the bar for even mindless summer flicks.
 
I can not say enough how amazing the new transfer looks.

you or anyone else have any screen grabs comparing the old blu-ray with the new one? Even better if you have the 4k.
 
Going by those screenshots the color grading looks worse.
