Now this sounds completely not true, but "I WANT TO BELIEVE"

"New Delhi is in the middle of a big secret internal debate. On one side the largest democracy of the world is eager to explain to its citizens and to the world about the ongoing contacts with the UFOs and extra-terrestrials. On the other hand there are invisible untold international protocols that prohibit doing anything that may cause worldwide fear and panic.

It is well accepted between the UFO and extra-terrestrial experts that all the five nuclear powers are in contact with the beings from other stars for quite some time. Recently India has seen enormous news on UFO contacts and secret UFO bases in Himalayas near the Chinese bases. In Ladak, for example the locals clearly point out the everyday phenomenon of large triangular spacecrafts coming out below the ground and Indian "security forces protecting them. "

Not to flame or bash, but if other intelligent life exists, Christians, who make up a large part of the population, got a big problem on their hand. This news would cause a lot of change.

Well let me pose this problem. Correct me if Im not seeing something but:

-Jesus is the only avenue to God
-Jesus died for the sins of MANKIND
-Other intelligent life forms would also have the potential to choose good and bad(do evil).

-Are the aliens screwed?

Plus Humans seemed to have been the reason for the creation of the universe, we're even physically made in his image according to the hardcore Christians.

At the end of the world, Jesus will come back here and judge us(humans). What about the other guys on the other planets? Screwed?

Nope. Earth is it. They also don't believe gays are a real phenomenon in nature and refuse to talk to me when I mention a gay dog I once saw.

Atheist here, but none of those things you mention necessarily pose a problem. Maybe the inhabitants of a planet 100 light years from here are humans too. Maybe Jesus gave them a visit and death at some point. I haven't seen him around here lately.

Wouldn't necessarily be just a misunderstanding. Presuming there are extraterrestrials checking out other worlds, it wouldn't seem surprising that some of them get their kicks acting as gods and influencing other planets.

There isn't really anything that supernatural in the Bible. Now, if your talking about something like the Mahabarat of the Hindus where you got giant floating ships shooting lazers and stuff, yea ....

That idea has been done before. Stargate for example.

I saw some documentary on the history channel explaining why some believe this. Some interesting stuff.

There are other religions/mythology (Norse mythology is one) that describe that as well as a war in the sky between the gods.

Who knows. Do Aliens have souls? If they do, then there may be a problem if they don't, then yes, they're probably screwed according to the Christians.

Also, when the Bible talks about us being made in God's image, it's not referring to the physical, it's referring to the spiritual in that we were created perfect or sinless, just like God. Has nothing to do with physical appearance.

That will be the "one small step for man, one giant step for mankind" moment for our generation.

I dunno about something like this though. If this was true and it came out, there would be chaos.

Actually I read a quote from a Christain group that said if we discover alien life, that they'd try and convert the aliens to Christainity :lol

Billy Graham says sentient alien beings cannot exist because it violates the convenant God made with the human race or something along those lines.

I think what would happen is there likely would be a lot more splinter groups/off-shoots of Christainity which would emphasize a more allegorical interpretation of the teachings rather than a literal one.

Actually, no, I don't. I live in CONSERVATIVE-TOWN USA!!!! The only major talk-radio station around here is pretty much exclusively conservative talk from Rush to Neil Boortz to Michael Savage, and a bunch of local/regional shows. Its absolutely horrid except for C2CAM.

I'm Christian and I believe in ET's, and UFO's coming here. Doesn't change my beliefs one bit. I would like to visit this area where there is purported crafts coming from the ground, and take pictures.

I hate how this forum views Christians as 'gay hatin' sons of bitches'. Also, who knows if there are aliens or not? Nobody. Would it alter my religion if true? I don't see why it would.
